We gave up 2 quality players and a draft pick in an extremely deep draft. Even though it will be a late pick that could still prove useful.

And yes we got back a great player in Scola who very well could be the missing piece. But still depending how well they use that pick they very easily could end up having gotten 3 quality players for 1.

Thats a little painful, no matter how much you need the player you get back.
You can not call Miles and Green quality players when we traded them....

It depends. Will this trade result in a ring? If yes, then it doesn't hurt at all.

They weren't in our system. But NBA people knew they were. Why do you think Plumlee was non negotiable from the Suns. They saw the potential.

ok I completely agree with you there, to me you made it sound like Plumlee and Green were quality players on the Pacers...but I see what ya mean now

We didn't know if Miles was a quality player because we never gave him the chance to prove himself. He didn't play. Green wasn't a quality player for us but he's been great in Phoenix's system. It's all about fit in his case.

Plumlee is the one thing that is giving me hope with Solo, despite how lost he looks. Gonna need him next year I figure.

Blazers just don't lose close games. Probably means they will lose a bunch of close games in the second half of the season.

Watching the box score. Was that a touch foul like Allen got against the hawks?

I don't care about Green. Vogel saw plenty of him throughout the year and didn't like what he saw as it pertained to our system. I'll trust Vogel on that one.

I don't care about a draft pick which might very well be the last pick in the first round. Solomon Hill 2.0

Plumlee intrigues me and I do wish that we would have given him more clock last year. But he's in a better situation for himself now and I seriously doubt that he would be getting big clock here. We needed a proven vet in Scola.

The price we paid was absurdly low at the time. To get a player like Scola, you gotta give something up. It sucks that we didn't get him in 2012, but we couldn't do anything about that in 2013. Bird paid a pretty low price at the time, all things considered. He knew that the 2014 pick would be low and that Green wasn't going to work in the system. He probably didn't want to give Plumlee up, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Wade hacked him....was an obvious foul...just like the foul Lebron should have gotten on PG
