I really like the Dirk-Monta duo in Dallas. I wish Monta would have arrived in the Big D a couple years ago. I hope that Dirk can stay healthy all year because this Mavs team is decent. I will forever be a Dirk fan because of his 2011 playoff run, which I think is one of the greatest individual playoff performances in modern years.

Blair needs to stop shooting the Tony Parker floater, somebody should tell him that he sucks at it and damn how many times can he get blocked? everybody blocked his a** today.

Amazing 4th quarter by Curry there is nothing you can do there, good game.

The two New York teams show us that dumping all of your draft picks and taking on a bunch of overpriced contracts might not be the most efficient way to build a contender.

Stars aren't becoming available now often until the are 28 or older on the trade market. Now the risk is much higher, the chances of getting 5-6 really good years out of a star after you trade for him are way, way down. Mileage piles up a lot more and rookies/young stars in general don't become available until they've been in the league for 7-8 years now.

Meh. Tell the Suns that when they got Nash. I think the Mavs with Monta will prove that wrong. David West? I think if they are a star they will have solid games for awhile. Now I agree with

sorry if already posted, but the topic of conference disparity seems to be of some interest to league bigwigs these days

Should they wait a couple of years for the CBA to settle out first? I think we're still in the throes of adjustment considering the repeat offender LT hasn't kicked in yet.

I have to admit I was surprised to see Doc get a standing ovation upon his return considering how he left.

@EyeOnBasketball: VIDEO: Jazz fans mock Kobe Bryant's return video in Marvin Williams' return vid

This is great I would love to see one with DG (not taking a shot at him and nope I don't want him dead, the video is the video and there is not hidden message in it).

Early returns in for the NBA All-Star game. @Paul_George24 is second to only LeBron (609K) in the East, with 489K+ votes.

    Scott Agness ‏@ScottAgness 3m

In the East, Roy Hibbert is fourth among frontcourt players (208K). George Hill is eighth (42K) on the backcourt list.

You know, the angle of a 48-50 win western conference team getting a lottery pick is something I hadn't thought of. The situation almost feeds into itself at that point, since there will always be equal number of lottery teams in each conference.

The two things I find most surprising: Hibbert is ahead of Bosh and Stephenson and West must have less votes than George Hill.

They go by Top 15 at each position. Theres more forwards (and centers) on the ballet than guards. West isn't in the Top 15, but he probably has a similar amount of votes as Hill, with Lance behind both but still ahead of Danny.

I might just vote for Danny for LOLs.

You have a very loose definition of star. Only one of those guys qualifies.

Look you know Imma toot my horn on this, but I said back in Feb that I wouldn't trade Paul george for Kyrie and a lot of people thought I was crazy telling me how awesome Kyrie is. Well he may have an awesome commercial, but the dude is **** on D and doesn't know how to run an offense to save his life. Right now he is Stephon Marbury without the attitude problems, but it has been rumored that he and Waiters don't get along so maybe those are coming along nicely as well.
