Former Indiana Pacers forward Sam Young could play for the Sydney Kings as early as their showdown with NBL frontrunners Perth Wildcats in Perth next Sunday – and, judging by high-level league discussions at head office, he could spark a flow of marquee-style imports to Australia from the NBA.

The signing of Young is a massive coup, but things didn’t go to plan on Thursday, with Young’s manager Joel Bell leaking news of the 198-centimetre 28-year-old’s signing with Sydney.

It placed Kings coach Shane Heal in the unenviable position of having to inform one of the Kings imports, point guard Jesse Sanders, that Friday night’s clash with Townsville Crocodiles at the Sydney Entertainment Centre would be his last.

let's hope s.hill can replace him if we need a bench guy to guard LBJ in playoffs. I'm not entirely confident

Is LP Broadband buggy? I just drug BKN-PHX into the window to play. That game now says "Now Playing" down in the selection menu. But the game that's playing is SAS-UTA. Neither SAS nor UTA is among the 5 teams I'm allowed to watch. I'm confused.

Ah, choosing the PHX broadcast gives me SAS-UTA. Choosing the BKN broadcast gives me BKN-PHX.

I'm getting the same behavior in Georgia.

The Bobcats are half a quarter away from being over .500 at 5-4. I was about to ask what's the latest in the season they've ever been above .500, and then I see they finished 44-38 four years ago.

    Watching Miami vs Dallas.

1)Miami announcers just mentioned our record and continued adding that this record has come against teams under the .500. Don't know why but he sounded like he wanted to downgrade the record by saying that.

    2) I have seen bits of Heat games this season but so far it seems that Lewis will give them quality minutes off the bench and he is hitting his shots beyond the 3point line

The cameras caught Kevin Garnett praying on the bench.

I am. Suns are pretty fun to watch.

How do you feel about the Bledsoe/Dragic backcourt experiment?

Chalmers might get a suspension. He just hit Nowitzki with a forearm to the face and got ejected.

Chalmers just got ejected. He literally threw a punch to Dirk in a screen.

I'd probably like Chalmers if I didn't convince myself that he was Brandon Rush's pot dealer. He made that young man an addict!

I'm stunned that Lewis played crunch time minutes for Miami in a close game. And played pretty solid too. If he could give them minutes which would allow them to rest Battier for the playoffs, that'd be big for Miami.

Brooklyn is bad, m'kay? I expected chemistry issues and other stuff but they look shocking outta there.

Also, is there a chance we overrated Deron in Utah? He has stopped being a difference maker for quite some time now

Monta Ellis blew that game with a terrible 3 that barely touched the rim and then on the next possession he did something only he could explain. He starting driving outside the 3pt line and when he took the second step just inside it, he changed his mind about shooting the ball mid air and made an awful pass to Dirk that was intercepted by Lebron

In two years, the Jazz are going to be an absolute monster.
My prediction: Solomon Hill is going to lead the team in Surprisingly Good Plays for the year. -10/29/2014

    Phoenix is fun to watch.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.
