Garnett just looks absolutely finished. His intensity is fine when he's one of the best players in the game, but at this point it's just kind of sad. Pierce still has a little bit of game left, but it's clear that his heart isn't there. He would have much rather preferred to finish his career in Boston, even if they weren't contending for anything. These guys already have their ring and I'm convinced that staying in Boston was more important to them than chasing another ring somewhere else as role players. But they didn't have much choice. Well technically KG did, but he wasn't going to stay in Boston without Pierce.
Like I said a week or so ago, I'll still an analogy Bill Simmons used with Jason Alexander. Watching Pierce and Garnett in Brooklyn would be like watching Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc boss people around the set of some lame sitcom in their mid 40's.
