Also, the Nets are 100% this year's Lakers. They are going to implode. And perhaps even more spectacularly because Kevin Garnett is bat **** insane. Paul Pierce might retire in the middle of the year.

Garnett just looks absolutely finished. His intensity is fine when he's one of the best players in the game, but at this point it's just kind of sad. Pierce still has a little bit of game left, but it's clear that his heart isn't there. He would have much rather preferred to finish his career in Boston, even if they weren't contending for anything. These guys already have their ring and I'm convinced that staying in Boston was more important to them than chasing another ring somewhere else as role players. But they didn't have much choice. Well technically KG did, but he wasn't going to stay in Boston without Pierce.

Like I said a week or so ago, I'll still an analogy Bill Simmons used with Jason Alexander. Watching Pierce and Garnett in Brooklyn would be like watching Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc boss people around the set of some lame sitcom in their mid 40's.

Simmons used a Friends analogy while talking with George Costanza?

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

No lol. He was talking about an old vet looking out of place one time and said it would be like watching Jason Alexander boss someone around the set of some crappy sitcom. I think it's in his book. I'm just ripping his analogy and tweaking it a bit to my liking.

That's funny. I would have said Cleveland. I don't like Turner all that much. More like Turner for Clark, Zeller or the first.
Have you watched Turner this year? He is so improved he is playing at an all star level and you can tell he is finally confident for the first time in his pro career.

You may be right. He is off to a good start. But it is early. Let's take a look at him after 20 games.

A year and a half ago numerous posters stated Turner was a terrible pick at #2, and that he wasn't much of a player. Well, that's changed, and he's become a very good NBA player.

Wow. Toronto up 12 at Memphis three and a half minutes before the end of the game. What really happened there? Did they stop having that great defensive mentality they had under their previous HC?

If you have a chance to run, run against Memphis on every single opportunity. From our match they were slow on the transition D

Yes, there "D" has gone down hill now that Lionel has left. Throw in that Prince isn't the SF they need. I believe they have a better bench this year, but if your starters aren't playing as they have in the past it hurts.

This would be a terrible outfit for the Pacers *cheerleaders*... I sure hope they won't actually play a game in these.

The color scheme and layout reminds me way too much of the Mavs.

When the Pacers summer league team played in the short sleeved jerseys, it looked like a really really good pickup game. The only thing that would make it better if they played shirts and skins.

I am absolutely adamant that the Pacers shouldn't play Shirts and Skins until the Fever do. EQUAL RIGHTS!

Shouldn't Dwight be shooting from the protective circle? He might hit that one.
