Great. I'll follow Plumlee's development closely. I really want him to prove some people in this site wrong

He looks really good with that team. He is made to be an uptempo big man where he can just run rim to rim. He and Gortat played together last night. He still has no skill outside of running and beibg tall, but plenty of guys play forever with that.

Man I would hate to coach the Knicks:

Knicks coach Mike Woodson said point guard Chris Smith is “still in the mix” for a roster spot, noting for the first time the coach’s relationship with J.R. is a factor in the franchise potentially wanting to further develop the younger Smith. For his part, Chris Smith, who played at Louisville before tearing up his knee at training camp last October, said if he is kept on the 15-man roster, he likely will spend much of the season with the Knicks’ D-League affiliate in Erie, Pa. ... “He’s still in the mix,’’ Woodson said. “That’s something else we have to sit and talk about [Thursday] in terms of the direction we want to go.’’ Woodson regards J.R. Smith as the son he has never had and owner James Dolan loves him too. Chris Smith’s chances, meanwhile, also increased when rookie C.J. Leslie struggled this preseason. Combo guard Tour’e Murry has outplayed Smith in preseason but a source indicated his status should not be affected by Smith’s. Woodson said J.R.’s presence carries a lot of weight as to whether the Knicks keep his brother. “Sure, it does,” Woodson said. ... Chris Smith has a unique element to his non-guaranteed deal. If he’s on the roster opening night, the deal is fully guaranteed.

It feels like Greg Oden’s been around since the stone age (and he certainly LOOKS like he’s been around since the stone age), but he’s actually only 25 years old. Seriously. Again, google it. In his first action since fire was discovered 2009, he grabbed a couple boards and…GASP…dunked the ball over a pair of defenders! Amazing! (NEXT ON SPORTSCENTER: Why LeBron deserves all the credit for Oden’s INCREDIBLE dunk.) But arguably, the real amazing thing is that Oden dunked the ball and didn’t shatter anything.

According to a report, his family expected even worse. They were thrilled that he dunked the ball and “didn’t instantly die.” One of Greg Oden’s cousins, who may not actually even be related to him, but it’s not like we’re worried about that: “Look the guy’s knees have to be nothing but dust at this point. And it’s probably not even just his knees. There’s a good chance that if you breathe on him too hard, he’s going to shatter into a 1,000 pieces. The fact that he managed to dunk the ball on two different people and not die is a miracle.”

His mother had similar thoughts: “When he signed with the Heat I didn’t think he’d actually PLAY. That is so dangerous for him. I thought he’d just be riding his way to a ring on the bench, waving a towel, passing water to his teammates, and giving them high fives like Juwan Howard used to. Thank god he’s okay. Let’s go easy on this playing stuff.” Family fears aside, so far so good for Greg Oden. He played 4 minutes, grabbed 2 boards, dunked over a couple Pelicans (not the bird, remember that’s an actual team name now. Yeah…) and most importantly: came out healthy.

Well, unless he tore something while you were reading this, which is entirely possible.
@NOTSportsCenter: #Heat C Greg Oden did something without shattering anything. His family was thrilled: http://t.co/7MVibCwr9P

Toure Murray is 50 times the player than Smith. Murray was one of my favorite Dleague players last year. He is a bull dog out there. He should stick in the league one day. I know I would take Murray as my 3rd guard every day, elite defender IMO.

Anybody know why Pendergraph is wearing a jersey that says "Ayres" on the back? Marv and Reggie are also calling him by that name.

He's ashamed of having played for the Pacers and is distancing himself by any means possible. Or this.

By the way, is anyone concerned that our slow starts (this preseason) are the direct result of the team losing it's hype man? The handshake routines are not complex enough!

Pendy changed his last name back to Ayres. He had an estranged father with whom he has re-established with. Pendergraph was his step-father's name.

This could be a problem, but I have a lot of faith in Mahinmi being able to step up in his absence.

Dennis Schroeder looked great the other night. I really wanted him in the draft and was hoping he'd fall to our pick.

I love the Suns GM great trade but damn that team will be young for the next few years. I like acting now instead of waiting to trade Gortat . Way to risky letting it go to the deadline. No surprise Marshall won't stick he should have never been a 1st rd pick in the first place. I doubt he sticks anywhere long term much better guards in the DLeague Kendall proved that last year.

Keep an eye on Okafor, if he is healthy, as a potential buyout candidate after the trade deadline. He'd be a nice pickup off the bench for a contender. And yes, the Pacers would fit the bill as a potential landing spot.

So the Nets are winning the Heat at their home so they are legit...
Seriously though, they have alot of good players, albeit some old, not at least to reach the semifinals of ECF. They need tome to gel but i think they will be serious contenders at the end. So excited for this NBA season.

    And some dates to remember:

December 28, 2013: Philadelphia at Phoenix
January 27, 2013: Phoenix at Philadelphia

Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle should be flown in for those games.
