What's the story on them giving up on Stevenson? Yeah, I know he's never lived up to expectations, but I thought he was having a good year for them.

Girecik (SP) had been rumored in a possible trade with GS for Dampier...guess that one is blown away.

Wow, according to RealGM Phoenix threw in TWO first-round picks with Googs. Why in the hell would they do that, when he was coming off the cap at the end of the year?

Phoenix did it to avoid paying the luxury tax.

Utah is a big time winner so far. Those two first round picks are good, especially from Phoenix.

Still got at least the two big deals ahead though I'd figure; Sheed and Dampier.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Hornets get ANOTHER guard. Not sure what they are thinking.

According to HoopsHype, they were at $59M, which is just over the limit. Now, provided there even is a tax this year (supposedly still some debate about that), they'd only pay a couple mil. With as bad as that team is, I'd much rather have the picks, even if they're somebody elses. Glad I'm not a Phoenix fan.

Pheonix has more young, talented prospects than anyone in the league. I don't really like the trade, but the last thing they need is more kids on their roster.
True, but this essentially comes down to trading two picks for $5Mil. One I can see, especially if it's a twenty-ish pick they have from somebody else. But two, that's obscene.
