He's not a solid quarterback so they have a reason to be upset

They're probably mostly upset because they saw Peyton getting injured and then going elsewhere as their chance to put a stranglehold on the division. They didn't do squat with their two year window and now have a decade of Luck to look forward to.

Regardless we should be glad Peyton never went to the Texans...

Report: Fans confront Matt Schaub at his home

Matt Schaub may soon be leaving Houston. Right about now, he probably wants to.

According to SportsRadio 610, fans confronted Schaub at his home on Tuesday evening.

“A fan went to his house and told him off,” a source close to law enforcement told The Fred and Ted Show. Another fan allegedly took pictures of Schaub’s family and posted them on Facebook.

The persons left before police arrived. Schaub reportedly contacted NFL Security.

It goes without saying that the fans crossed a line that always should be respected. Still, the zeal and passion the NFL conjures in its fans can lead to extreme cases like this. The league, its teams, and law enforcement need to be ready to take aggressive action when necessary to protect players, coaches, executives, and their families — and to prosecutors need to be ready to enforce any and all laws that may be broken by fans who take it too far.

Texans fans are being kind of ****** about the whole situation, but Schaub is seriously awful.

Living in Houston now, I have to say this whole experience has been crazy. The fans going to his house is stupid, and the media has helped fan the flames on this. That should be no surprise though since it makes for news headlines and followers. I will say the Texans are far and away the main team in this city and the fans love them. The fact this is the closest they have been to having a chance to go all the way since the Oilers and Moon were here has fulled the fire.

Schaub and Kubiak are both gone after the season i believe unless a big turn around happens.

The jersey and the burger deal are harmless and funny. Showing up at the guys house isn't.

I called it for Kubiak before the season started.

No love for the Rockets, then? Might change after this season and not because the Texans might be bad.

That person should immediately be fired. It is all fun games with signs like the restaurant, but when you have people going to a guys house you have a recipe for a disaster. We all know the guy who went to the house was not trying to encourage Schaub. When you have people making threats to people who bash Cyrus or Bieber I can only imagine the threats Schaub has got this season.

Going to someones house over a freaking football game just makes me feel better that I just do not take sports that serious. Heck, my friend who mopes around after a loss by the Pacers/Colts and cannot hang out after a loss just drives me insane.

Can't thank Sandman enough for the above memory. Wonder if Mr. Baldwin would trade Schaub for Andrew now?

As it turns out, there was no angry mob at Schaub’s

Posted by Darin Gantt on October 9, 2013, 11:26 AM EDT

The story about angry fans outside Texans quarterback Matt Schaub’s house was a good one, a perfect narrative around which to comment on the importance of sports in our lives and fan behavior in general.

The only problem: It wasn’t true.

The Houston Police Department is sending out word that the story is not as it was first conveyed.

“Contrary to some reports, there was not a group of ‘angry fans’ outside the Schaub residence on Monday,” the department said in a statement sent out via Twitter. “A family member reported seeing a suspicious male in the driveway of the residence taking pictures. Police were not called to the home. No other information to release at this time.”

While the idea of a pitchfork- and torch-wielding mob furious about four straight weeks of pick-sixes didn’t turn out to be true, the fact that the story was so easy to believe might be the most depressing part of the whole chapter.

I've been saying Schaub is overrated since last year when a few on here were saying he was still the best QB in the division

Having lived in Houston, it's like the rest of Texas--football is king. The Texans are roughly 50x more popular than the Rockets and Astros. That won't change.

He really wasn't that bad until this year. How quickly we forget, just two years ago Houston looked like the best team in the NFL, then Schaub goes down and TJ Yates is forced upon them. They blame that for not going to the Super Bowl that year. I have no idea why or how he has gotten this monumentally atrocious, but the Texans are in trouble.

If you are so obsessed with football that you would show up at a player's house to berate him you really need to examine your life I would say.

The article doesn't really bother me although I admit to being amused that someone from Houston would say this about Andrew Luck since he's from there.

Beyond that its really no big deal.

People are going to think whatever they want in the end if he wins that's all that matters.
