Who said Pep is a terrible play caller last week? What a game on offense. We absolutely overpowered them.
It helps that he and Luck for that matter know Harbaugh's tendencies but that's not going to be the case with every opponent.

I feel great for Pagano. Most of the big wins last year were with Arians on the sideline, so it's nice to see Pagano get this win. It's obviously the biggest one of his head coaching career. What a great game plan and coaching job.

No one likes a loss, but maybe that Dolphins loss wasn't the worst thing in the world. Seems to have lit a fire under our a** like the Jacksonville loss at home did last year.

Havili's blocking was instrumental in opening holes. That really helped.

Forgot to mention that when the running is effective and you move the chains and you lead, is amazing how much time you eat up from the clock.

Yes because only true fans have to be rah rah all the time. Great win for this team moving forward but I'm not going to overreact after one game either. I still am not big on Pep's playcalling fortunately for him he has a QB that's capable of much more.

how are you not a fan of the play calling. With this running game, playaction passes will be wide open down the field

Because its only one game now if they can keep this up for a few weeks then we're onto something.

That's the problem with anointing these young QBs too soon people forget they are still young QBs they're going to make mistakes and have off games. Then they when they aren't as legendary as touted the media acts so shocked over it even though they created the monster so to speak

Bradshaw is so amazing at finding the opening haven't seen a Colt running back like that for a long time.
Dominic Rhodes was probably the last RB we had that ran this hard, and could find/hit the hole more often than not. Much more effective than Mr. Jump, juke and wiggle also known as Joseph Addai

Gotta wonder how many games will we be able to play good enough defense to be able to run the ball so often.

Me personally I love the physical, hard nosed, run the ball approach....when your defense allows you to do so. The question is what's going to happen when we have to play in a shoot out type of game; what will be the play calls then?

remember last year when the Cardinals started 4-0 and people were freaking out? then they went 1-11 the rest of the way. it's still early.

Yep this is a great win for the Colts just like the Packers game was last season but we also lost to the Jets in a horrific fashion. Any Given Sunday

Listen, the type of play calls and heavy running works well today because SF is the type of team to use it against. So enjoy the win for what it was, because we did a great job of using the correct gameplan.

I agree that this won't cut it for other teams, but hopefully they call it well those games
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Secondary was just brilliant today. Watching the replays you can see exceptional coverage all around. Really happy with that for a change.

They should've just sat him out oddly enough he made no difference.

They were missing Vernon Davis though.

San fran is one of those defenses that literally lacks weakness. They literally are solid at every position across the board. The fact that the colts could run the ball today Says alot.

Like I said in a thread I started on the Colts board....running does still matter in the NFL. It flat out won the game for us. Chewed up the clock and kept Kaep on the bench. Maybe being more than a passing team is a good thing. I think I can live with Luck having less spectacular stats if it leads to W's. This is fun!!

Can anyone else believe we 49'ered the 49'ers at their place after they got thumped by Seattle? I for real thought that this was going to be a monumental *** beating that we would be on the wrong end of and they'd be out for blood looking to take it out on someone. An optimist says we win a close one, but I don't even think the worlds biggest colts homer saw this coming, and apparently san fran didn't either.
