Default Amare's comments about Nash after the game.

Maybe I'm reading to much into this but this is what Amare Stoudamire had to say about Steve Nash leaving the game last night.

"Losing Steve should not have hurt us. If we play defense and out work the opponent, we should still be okay. But like I said, defense has to be our main focus."

Maybe Amare feels that Amare is the MVP of this team.

In Amare's defense, they were playing like crap when Steve was in the game, too. Still, as Kevin Lee pointed out after the game when someone was complaining about AJ, "Phoenix would love to have him." It's pretty bad when you play Joe at point since your backup is so awful.

I like Amare's comment. He's not making the easy excuse for their poor play, instead he's saying they need to play harder and play better defense. What's not to like about a guy who says that?

I aggree unstandable, btw he also said this just to put it into context:

"(On the Pacersí game) "They came out and played nice defense. They came out and played strong. I take my hat off to them. But we need this. Itís a little bit of a wakeup call, especially on defense. We have to play hard for 48 minutes and we have to do a better job of doing things like closing out on shooters."
