I can't tell how good Cincinnati is because your offense and defense has just been so brutal. This looks like that Indiana team from Wilson's first year that went 1-11, and your schedule is a lot harder than ours was.
Henry could "pass" better than this as a freshman. that was 4 years ago.
he is not comfortable with what he was doing out there. It showed, he was not composed and also our team in general did not play aggressive enough, we started out basically saying hey we are not confident with stretching the field and we want to take dump offs and screens. We got pretty predictable, and our line play was horrible.
Not gonna pile on. Building new programs is rough business. God knows IU would have lost that game 100-3 a few years ago (granted, not sure where they stand vs Cincy today). Be interested to see what young program cornerstones emerge from PU. More interested in who will be good for them in 2-3 years than who is good now.
Cincy's a solid program the last few years, multiple double digit win seasons, so the cupboard isn't bare or anything, but they just did whatever they wanted. 400+ yards given up, 200+ on the ground (on almost 50 rushes) is bad enough, but hell I can't even blame the defense. The offense gave them absolutely nothing, Cincy had great field position all game and I don't even want to go back and count the 3 and outs by our offense.
I didn't expect to win but I expected at least to make something of a game of it, that **** was just embarrassing. Henry better not get the start next game, there'd be absolutely no point. Like half the roster's underclassmen, why should QB be any different.
