I know all the excuses/reasons and all, but this isn't even embarrassing anymore, it's just sad. Literal worst season in Purdue football history sad. Getting smoked is one thing but we're on pace to have the worst offense in the Big Ten in over a decade.
finally watched the UIndy scrimmage. still can't shoot FTs. Simpson needs to stop playing like he's a 6'9/250 2 guard. Scott's gonna be in a lot of foul trouble, but I love him. Ronnie's shooting coach didn't help much, that shot's ugly. Still love Ray D, just a heady glue guy. Kendall's going to be our best player by the end of the year, plays a lot bigger than his soaking wet weight, didn't expect that. Terone still has nothing but that little body up floater. Smotherman's all physical profile at this point, which is fine, do like that he's a lefty, don't like that he has no right hand. Peck looked like just a guy, we'll see, nothing dumb though at least. I like Carter, he's like a 5'10 2 guard but you can make that work in college for a few stretches a game, seemed kinda shaky but he's a strong aggressive kid that'll probably get some big minutes in the non-con.
I think by the end of the year we should be a 7-10 seed tourney team with a lot of room for growth. The actual play's a lot more encouraging than the score.
Also, if any of you Indianpolis posters know that UIndy dude with the white headband and the ponytail tell him to fix that.
I don't really care how much we improve if we still can't shoot FTs worth ****.
Which we can't.
Shoot I do, would love to make it to the tourney, and helpout with recruiting by being successful. We still need to address that other area as well as d, but man knowing that we can put up points now is a big plus for me.
Should add FT was not totally bad last night, 10-18, but a lot of that was due to scott going 0-4... but again, putting up points consistently is the big thing I want to see at this point. Our team is still pretty young and should continue to grow.
