Kelvin Hayden is out for the season. Way too many season ending injuries already this year.

=== Bears' Hayden lost for season with torn hamstring ===

Bourbonnais, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Bears cornerback Kelvin Hayden
has joined the list of training camp casualties.

The team announced Wednesday that the 30-year-old needs surgery to repair a
torn hamstring and will miss the upcoming season.

Hayden totaled 37 tackles and one interception while starting two of the 16
games he played last season, his first with the Bears.

Atlanta Falcons right tackle Mike Johnson suffered a dislocated left ankle and fibula fracture during Tuesday's practice, Falcons coach Mike Smith said.

Johnson, listed first on the depth chart at his position, was injured on a running play Tuesday. Johnson was carted off the practice field and onto an ambulance. He's scheduled to have surgery next week, Smith said.

A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Johnson is expected to miss the entire season with the injury.

    Two Saints gone.
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp1...leman-injuries

METAIRIE, La. -- Defensive end Kenyon Coleman likely will miss the entire season and receiver Joe Morgan is out for the year, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday.

Morgan has a torn meniscus and a partial ACL tear. Payton said Morgan was scheduled for surgery Wednesday.

Coleman has a pectoral tear and likely will have surgery Thursday, Payton said.

"Obviously, they are losses, and we've got to find some guys that can step up and take their spot," Payton said.

Coleman had been working with the first team early in camp. His absence means second-year pro Akiem Hicks likely will get a shot at a starting job.

Morgan had seemed to be the leader in the competition for the No. 3 receiver spot. With Morgan out, the Saints likely will take long looks at veteran Steve Breaston, who signed this week, and second-year pro Nick Toon.

I was gonna post something similar.

Forever grateful for that pick 6, Kelvin. Remember watching that replay checking if he had stepped on the out of bounds line and he was like less than half an inch away from it.

Yeah him and Marlin Jackson with the two "The Pick" moments in the playoffs. And Bob Sanders with how he changed the defense for the playoff run. I believe with him coming back was the reason the Colts went all of the way that year

=== Bills QB Manuel to miss remainder of preseason ===

Pittsford, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills announced on Saturday that
rookie quarterback EJ Manuel will undergo a surgical procedure on his left
knee and will miss the remainder of the preseason.

The team released the following statement:

"EJ Manuel had some swelling in his left knee this morning and was examined by
our medical staff. An MRI revealed that he will need to have a minor knee
procedure and that has been scheduled. He will miss the remainder of the
preseason and then be re-evaluated at that time. Kevin Kolb will be our
starting quarterback for this weekend's game at Washington. Additionally, wide
receiver Kevin Elliott has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the
    season."

Manuel was the 16th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played well in his
first two preseason games, completing 26-of-33 passes for 199 yards and two
    touchdowns.
