Today is a good day to be following @Rivals and @RivalsCamp ... You'll see why in a few hours ...

wonder what this is about? RivalsCamp is a football camp for high school football players so I think this has to do with football recruiting

This is the type of game Northwestern wants to play- a slow paced slug fest and we are more than happy to comply so far unfortunately.

It's only a three point game but the longer they have the lead the more we will press and throw up bad shots which plays right into their hands.

This is where good coaching makes the difference- teams that make the tournament can't have large swings in play from game to game.

This game is a fireable offense.

Crean has no clue how to instill half court discipline on offense.

We're really about to lose to Northwestern. At home. Can't wait to hear Crean explain this one.

We're paying a coach $3 million a year to lose to Northwestern?

You could hire a homeless guy for $1 and get the same result.

A second rate coach makes you a second rate program.

Until an upgrade is hired this is the crap we will have to put up with.

I gather IU lost a game they shouldn't have today? I didn't realize they were on or I would've watched.

Let me guess- No idea how to run a half court offense nor how to deal with a team that doesn't let IU play the way they want to play (AKA loosey goosey). ...Meanwhile picking apart IU's defense which seems more about intensity than position?
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

They sucked me back in tonight. If they are anything like our football team, they will go out and crap the bed their next game. And what an epic bed crapping it would be--home against Northwestern.

Yep. When crean squads are forced away from his style (quick, easy transitition pts) and have no option but to actually play half court, they can be beaten by pretty much anyone. When forced into halfcourt, they run around with all the purpose of a chicken with it's head cut off. Even last year's talent-laden team got beat when teams forced them into half court ball, they got beat.
I swear, the next time I see an iu player set a screen under tom crean- it will be their 1st time!
Crean is a 1 trick pony. Stop his transition game and he's toast.

Reports out there that former Wake Forest defensive coordinator Brian Knorr has accepted an offer from Kevin Wilson to become IU's new D coordinator. Much better hire than Manny Diaz would have been. Deacons were 32nd in total defense last year, and only FSU and Clemson scored more than 30 points against them.

looks like the Diaz rumor was wrong, seems like a good hire

Lose at home to NW shooting 25% and not cracking 50 points. This is precisely why the court rushing after the UW win looks so hokey.

I'll rush the court the day Crean gets fired.

Interesting thing on Knorr, he runs a 3-4. I think that will benefit Latham and Richardson, as they seem like good 3-4 DE's. Not sure if we have the OLB's for that scheme though. Should be interesting

a win turns him 180 degrees.
then a loss turns him 180 degrees,

whether it's the Pacers or the Hoosiers.

Like Shaq said of SVG, "the master of panic"

(Not that extreme disappointment isn't warranted in this case- that was an embarrassing loss for the program)
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I think hoosierguy is bipolar. That would explain the drastic mood swings from one play to the next.

Whatever it was that turned hoosierguy, he certainly hasn't looked back. Since he "turned" he has consistently bashed Crean, much to my dismay, as I used to enjoy poking fun at him about the whole thing.
