Default Thoughts from the game behind the Pacers bench...

Well, being behind the Pacers bench was very interesting....first off to note, the security guard was an A$$hole to me all night and threatened to throw me out because my camera had a "flash"...and the end of the game I explained to his supervisor what happened and he apologized and let me hang out in the family area after the game which was special because I took a pic with J.O. and he signed my jersey. This kid who is an usher or something jacked the Reggie fingerband which the a$$hole security wouldn't let me get for any reason... I wanted it which really upset me, but I did get his unmarked yellow wristband which is kinda cool but it does not have anything on it that says it's Reggie's like his fingerbands.

Before the game I got to meet pretty much all of the Pacers at an undisclosed location and got Reggie to sign my picture....(I also got to see Stephen Jackson!!!!)...Stephen is one of the nicest guys and I love him...he's such a new Pacer but one of my favorites and I love the type of person he is...he keeps it real and is a special player and person.

To the game...what can I say, we got crushed and we are not that good of a team without JAX and Ronnie...especially Ronnie...we miss Ronnie and games like this show why and it makes me real sad when I think about it.

To after the game....I have more pictures other than the one's i'm posting (the one's i'm posting is off my cell phone) but I need to get them developed and I even took a picture of David Stern...yes David Stern was there. Why??? I have no clue...but he was there and walked right in the family area and when he left at point blank range I yelled "David, free Ronnie....FREE RONNIE" and I am 100% sure he heard me and his posse had smirks and the security guards laughed and said I had balls to say that to the commissioner...haha....fU% Stern! I asked Jeff after the game why Stern was there and he told me, "To suspend another one of our players"...and then he said "He will probably suspend me because I missed too many shots" and Jeff said he does not have the best sense of humor on the team but it is hands down Scott Pollard. I miss watching J.J. play...he is such a nice kid and great person and he remembered me from the Clipper game...

Now to Reggie...Reggie has something upsetting him lately and I don't know what it is...before the game at an undisclosed location Reggie did sign my picture but he was not in the cheery mood he usually is in...he really did not have much to say (I understand they are struggling) and even though we talked for a few seconds, I thought he would have more to say to me because of our past, even at the Pacer-Clipper game he was upbeat and kept waving to me several times throughout the game...but in this game Reggie did not acknowledge me in the context of the game while I am sure he knew I was behind him (maybe because the row I was in was full of Pacer fans)...but certainly Reggie was not himself, and maybe that is why he is not playing well...on the court, it seems like Reggie does not really want to play but is forcing himself....it's not a Reggie I have seen....I really believe something is truly bothering him because otherwise he would not have acted like that towards me as even before the game it seemed like he was in a depressed mood...

This team has quality people and players, and as I said; Stephen Jackson was a very humble and nice person....him and J.O. were the nicest Pacers today along with James Jones.

When I think of something new to say I will, but for the people who watched the game on both the local Indy feed and the Suns feed...did you see me and if so, did they zoom up on me or was it when they focused on the Pacers bench. I loved my Pacers headband I made, and I had another one I made with #91 and #7 in front and #1 in back and wanted to give it to a player to wear but I did not have the opportunity, I had gone to the special lounge for Suns people....I made new connections in a new arena.

On an off note, Freddie Jones confirmed to me he would not be in the dunk contest and again, J.O. is such a humble guy for being a superstar...and the Suns cheerleaders are HOT as hell...hotter than the Laker girls and Reggie and rest of the Pacers could not keep their eyes off their tite a$$Es...LOL....but if anyone has the game videotaped if they can post it online or something I appreciate it...and below are some pics....the pic with J.O....I ran out of film on my camera so I had to take the picture with him on my cell phone ( a question, can I somehow convert this to a regular picture)...and some other pictures from the game. I got video off my cell phone too but I do not know how to convert it or post it, but if someone knows how I can send it and put it on right....and I will post other pictures from the game later on during the week once it gets developed.

On another note...JOONEAL7 is a gangsta...this kid is a smart kid and knows what he's doing...for some people who would think of me and him as stalker....I call that being a hata for not being able to be smart and realizing things others don't...I can't say exactly what it is, but even though we lost I had a very memorable day...not only evening...and maybe we will gangsta it out in Orlando.

Here is me and J.O...what a nice guy...

The pic Reg signed along with his wristband...but the lil punk kid jacked my Reggie fingerband.

J.O.'s jersey he signed...thx Mr. Security guard for picking on me all game...it ended up paying off as I was let in the back.

A picture from the game...these were all on my cell phone and I will post very good pictures from both the Pacer-Clipper and Pacer-Suns game later on this week.

So you think Reggie's depressed?Well I would be to if I was playing on a team that got raped by the NBA.So how many times have you been able to talk to the players when you go to the games?I need to start doing that

Well, I met most of the players before the game at an undisclosed location (except J.O.!) and that bummed me out because I was going to ask him for his shoes or wristband...I don't know how J.O. had sneaked out on me; so luckily the manager of the security guard who was in front of me all night said "he would have a talk with him" and allowed me to be in the family area and I got autos for the 3 Pacers I had missed including J.O....I wish I had seen J.O. before the game so I could actually have a conversation with him but there's always next time....and for the fingerband...I knew where Reggie left his fingerband and I went to get it and security would not let me and I told them where it is and to get it for me and they said "they couldn't" and I kept on begging different people and this kid who works there snatched it real quick and put it in his pocket...that frustrated the FU%% out of me!!!

I did actually talk to Pollard and I told him I hope he feels better and come back soon and in a somber mood he said "I hope so too"....this time was the most I talked to them because there were so many of them but I had been in contact with a certain player in the past and occasionaly had talked to a couple of them....but I will certainly post rest of the pictures once they get developed.

One more thing...I told Michael Curry before the game..."AS President of the Players Union do you think Ron Artest will come back this season"....and he just had a smirk on his face and was like "I dunno" LOL.

I don't care if they are famous or not...it is not about them being famous..it's about them and that they are Indiana Pacers.

....and I forgot to mention...David Harrison is a really nice person too.

    Sassan,
Just a guess... but this is supposed to be Reggie's last year (altho he has an option for another). This whole thing has to be weighing on him. If he was thinking about coming back next year maybe this turmoil and disarray has him rethinking it. ...Or if he really was leaning toward this as his last year and leaving with a final shot at a ring maybe he now has to be wondering if he wants to come back next year and risk being in this funk again?

Maybe his own body is giving him signals he doesn't want to hear right now?

Maybe he's questioning himself about whether he should be starting.... maybe the coaches have had a talk with him about it?

I'm not saying any of this is what you sensed but I wouldn't be surprised.
If you are Reggie Miller right now you have plenty to worry about in regards to this team and your place on it. The clock is ticking...

Well yeah, what, did you think I am only a fan of the Pacers because they are famous?

I get the feeling you don't want to say how you know them. That's fine. But nor my curiousity will eat me alive.

Part of it, I'm guessing, is because you and I don't approach players. We let them have their space, because they are people, not role models. I'd love to hang out with those guys and ask them a question, but I think I'd feel like a "Pacers groupie" if I was constantly asking for signatures and invites to hang out. How is it any different than some chick asking John Bon Jovi to sign her boob then trying to get backstage?

The players may genuinely like you. But even if they didn't, they'd still chat with you. After all, you're the one paying the big bucks for the tickets that pay their bills. Without the fans (and their money), the players would be back on the playgrounds, grinding the 9-5 for 20-50 grand per year (with a college degree, maybe). Don't think for a second that they don't understand that, especially in THIS franchise. That's what makes the franchise special.

My thoughts exactly. For the other guys, this is one wasted season if they don't win a title. They've still got several years left to make a run at it. For Reggie, this was his last, best chance as a starter. He had a chance to win a ring as the starting SG for the Indiana Pacers. Do you think he'll continue to start over Stephen Jackson and Fred Jones next year? I highly doubt it, because he'll stay the same, at best, and those guys will probably get better. If he waits till next year, even if they win, he'll be put in the same category as Rod Strickland with the Lakers. Retirement has to be looming large in his mind. Heck, for all we know, maybe there was an agreement between DW and Reggie that they'd sign Stephen Jackson and Tinsley this season to long-term deals, and Reggie wouldn't come back next year, to help with the salary. DW gets young replacements signed to long-term deals, Reggie gets 2 solid, undistracted players to help him make his last run at a ring.

I guess, in the end, nobody knows. For all we know, he may have heard his ex-wife is getting re-married or something. Any number of things could result in him being in a bad mood.

BBALL, I don't know exactly what I sensed, but I have sensed I know Reggie Miller's personality and something was wrong with him yesterday and was bothering him as he truly was not himself towards me....I did get the auto but something seemed to be upsetting him all day as he usually is in a cheery mode and he jus seemed pissed off at something and like he did not want to be on the court....

Eindar, I don't agree with all that....they often times don't give sigs at games...but it's at certain times that matter that make differences...it's just the type of person you are...it depends on that on how much a player will remember you or not.

I sensed it had to do with a bigger picture....if it had something to do with basketball it was the bigger picture of what has happened on this team from going to Elite to this....but still S. Jackson will come back and we will see what happens with a healthy Bender...but it can do with his personal life as well...we don't know anything.
