well just hear Evans wants to join the Pelicans, maybe that will make them eager to deal Lopez (Green, 2nd rounder for Lopez)
LOL, they'd probably rather just buy him out. Gerald/2nd probably doesn't even have positive value at this point.

C'mon get Landry before the Clips do! I don't want Copeland

Copeland's already been extended an offer sheet by Indiana. He is mulling over it and someone elses offer sheet as well. I think New York and one of the crappier west coast teams like New Orleans or Phoenix or something.

We are rumored in a lot of **** this year--moreso than usual it seems. I think it's the "Kevin Pritchard Effect." He was always dabbling in **** in Portland. Still waiting for us to actually "Pritchslap" somebody though.

He's talking with the Pelicans ( who appear to be on hold to make any further moves until the Tyreke situation is resolved ), the Knicks ( for obvious reasons ) and the Jazz as well.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

    Well lets examine...................................

Pelicans have Ryan Anderson. He's like a white version of Copeland. Not to mention they're still trying to trade people. Like Lopez (aforementioned), Gordon (possibly), oh and did I mention they won't be contenders next season?

Knicks - Obviously feels loyal to them, team gave him a chance. But it's a sinking ship. And a a damn near broke and old one at that.

Jazz - Not going anywhere. Lost Milsap and Jefferson. They're done until they decide to tank for someone in 2015 or something.

If he gets somebody to take Green I would call that a big Pritchslap.

Smith and Knicks move closer to deal..........

Wonder how much? Looks like Cope is a goner if this deal is even robust! Forget about big. They did just take on Bargani after all.

I see that going to a contender is an incentive to a lot of Players....but this is Copeland's first chance to get paid. He's going to go to whatever Team guarantees him the most minutes AND the most $$$. He's not going to care about playing for a Championship....he's looking for the best situation that he can find to get paid and show off his talents.

The only thing the Pacers got for them now is that it appears they are the most eager by giving him an offer sheet. The question is how much they are offering him ( which shows that the Pacers are serious and interested ). I'd assume that there will be a guaranteed 15 mpg as the backup PF...maybe even more as one of the backup SF.

Yes, but Cope isn't 22, 23, or 21. He's 29. Now by the time his next contract ends, he could be 35. At that point, no contender is going to take you on if your skills have diminished like a Gilbert Arenas or Penny Hardaway. Logistically, those two should still be playing for someone in a Ginobli or Ray Allen role. But their skills diminished so badly they're just out of the league now. So lets say by 35 Cope's shot is flat, inconsistent, and off. He's gonna wish he had a ring.

Count me in on signing a 42 year old Penny Hardaway.

I assume by 'logistically' you mean his zimmer frame might pose freight difficulties when flying to away games?

Ya never know! In other news, http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...ers-Spurs-Nets

Kenyon Martin was on the Clippers last season wasn't he? Then they cut him and the Knicks picked him up? What is it about him teams like? He's old and washed up now. Don't get it.

@daldridgetnt: Sources confirm @ESPNSteinLine report that Kyle Korver will remain with the Hawks on a four-year, $24 million deal.

Atlanta has to pay someone. They're a long way away from the minimum payroll requirement.

They don't have to. The money would just be redistributed to the players that are signed.

Nice to know he's found a new home. Maybe he can help fix that organization.

Aren't the Bucks rumored to be going after O.J. Mayo? Hah, here's your third chance to successfully land him, Morway.

what are the odds morway keeps low balling & low balling to the point he loses Mayo & has to end up signing McRoberts, who is also a FA?

Source: Cavs now in play for Copeland with a potential multiyear deal. Also Pacers might be working a trade to create space for savvy vet.

tweet makes it sound like we are trying to make a trade to sign someone valuable in FA

Well Copeland is no savvy vet. So, it sounds like to me that savvy vet is Rondo.
