Man Evans for Green lol...that would be great. Evans can do **** offensively. But with lance and Watson and hill all he would have to do is Rebound Rebound Rebound and play solid D which he is capable of. Ian has somewhat of a post game so Ian next to Evans would be pretty solid.

My first choice is still giving the whole MLE to Landry tho. I think Watson, Lance, Hill, Landry, Ian is a solid bench. Very solid.

If we can't get Landry or Evans then signing Copeland to a one year deal would work. He can play back up PF and come off the bench and knock down threes. Plus he's underrated in his hustle I think. He killed us in the playoffs. I think he's decent.

If Bird can find a way to dump Green without including a 1st, he indeed is a Legend.

if they get GAy and Iggy they are going to have a hard time signing Drummond, Monroe and Knight
True but perhaps no more trouble than we will have keeping our guys together next season. I've also seen some bits that they're interested in rondo maybe. Iggy is very much testing his options.

I don't think we can trade for Reggie Evans without receiving someone else in return. The salaries don't match.
Actually, I run it in ESPN's trade machine and the trade was successful.

    Their trade machine is broken.

Man, I don't know about getting Reggie Evans. The extra possessions would be nice, but are they worth playing 4 on 5 offense with our ****** bench?

Brandon knight? And while not proficient, Iggy and gay are both guys who can't be left wide open at the 3 pt line. But the combo of Drummond, Iggy, and gay should make them an elite defensive squad. We were successful despite having terrible spacing much of last season

it saves us immediate money. we'd be more likely to use the MLE. it's also from some random twitter person.

Evans would be a wayyyyyy better option than the scrub of Coperland.
Reggie Evans is a liability on offense and a below par defender. He does one thing well. He rebounds very, very well.

    But that's it.

Both Evans and Copeland have one very important NBA skill. Reggie Evans rebounds at a high level rate while Chris Copeland shoots the 3 at a great clip ad can score. That's it. Both are quite limited specialists but they have their uses.

I would feel better about it with Lance Stephenson and C.J. Watson now joining the bench, but I have those same concerns

Man I wish I never would have opened this thread up tonight. Now all I'll do for the next few days is obsess over some way to trade Green for Evans. Hell Green for anyone really, but the thought of Evans as your backup 4 makes me happy. I can't see the Nets doing this though as they are extremely short in the big men department.

KG, Lopez, Blatche, Humphries, Plumlee. They'll get by. They're supposedly looking for a 3rd PG, but I do think they'd pick someone to replace Brooks before getting a 3rd PG. Who knows, maybe they'd try Green again.

I did forget about Blatche but I'm pretty sure Humphries was the centerpiece of the Boston trade.

I suppose that it could suit me, actually.

But yes I'm not someone that is going to talk ill about a basketball player (granted, I have my dislikes). I just know that in order to make it as a pro you have to have some actual basketball skills. In other words, they are vastly better than me at basketball so who the heck am I to judge them?
