    I don't get it.
There are so many directions this signing can go.

Either they've completely given up on EJ and are bringing in Evans to start at SG, bringing in Evans to start at PG, or they're bringing in Evans to come off the bench.

It seems like Evans is EJ's replacement moving forward, as it's been reported, the Pelicans have made him very available.

Bad trade. Is that all it takes to get Bledsoe? WOW.

I think it's all moot as I'd be surprised if Sacramento doesn't match the offer sheet.

No way Evans starts at the point. They just traded two (potential) lottery picks for Jrue Holiday, who is a much better player than Reke.

I don't even know how "lucrative" an offer they could make with Holiday on board now, they may NEED to trade EJ to make it work.

With completely new management and the drafting of Ben McLemore, I wouldn't be surprised if they let Evans go.

How many attempts did each player get per game? We've all complained about our guards not getting Roy the ball as often as we would like, so I'm wondering if part of the scoring difference is related to touches.
The trouble with a statement like that is that there is a reason people are the number 1 or number 3 or number 5 option. Yes, Lopez took more shots per game than Roy, but a lot of that is BECAUSE he's a better option offensively than Roy, he was higher in Brooklyn's pecking order than Roy was in Indiana's, and he was higher while Brooklyn was a better offensive team to begin with. Brooklyn and Indiana had virtually the same pace played last year (92.8 verse 91.2, two of the slowest paces in the league), and Brook *did* take ~4 more shots per game than Roy, however Brooklyn's offense was significantly more efficient than ours (105 verse 101.6). What this amounts to is Brook is capable of being the centerpiece of a top 10 NBA offense, while Roy was the fourth option in an average to below average offense.

Essentially when you make a statement like "if he got more shots he would have scored more," you are placing the egg before the chicken, mistaking cause and effect -- he got less shots for a reason.

JJ Redick is a drastically better player than Eric Bledsoe right now. Makes sense that a team looking to win now would trade Bledsoe for somebody who can help them this season.

Yeah, that's true. I forgot they did get Holiday, since it's not official yet.

Either he'd be coming off the bench or EJ is coming off the bench if he's not traded away.

Yeah, if I were them I would let him walk. See if they can work out a sign and trade maybe so they at least get something for him.

It is my understanding that Evans will play the SF, EJ as SG and Holliday at PG. There is some question as to Evans willingness to play the 3.

JJ Redick is one of the best shooting guards in the league. Bledsoe is totally unproven. This would be a great deal for the Clips, especially since they likely aren't going to be keeping Bledsoe past this year. Locking up JJ for 3-4 years to start for you at the two is a no-brainer.

They're going to have to throw someone else in this deal... must be Wisconsin's own, Caron Butler.

Sam Amick says the Evans offer is 4/$48mil, David Aldridge says 4/$44, so somewhere in there I guess. Let him go Sacto, work a sign and trade or something.

Different roles, positions, etc. McLemore is a pure SG. Tyreke Evans can play PG - SG - SF and won Rookie of the Year putting up 20-5-5 as a PG. He has also improved his efficiency drastically. Shot 48% last season with 15.2 PPG and improved his three point shooting, as well. He took far less shots per game(by three from the previous season and by 5 from his rookie and soph seasons) which shows maturity, too. His rebounding and defensive numbers are still identical despite playing 3 less minutes per game and 6 minutes less per game from rookie and sophomore seasons.

Tyreke also has the athleticism to be a defensive stopper once he applies himself moreso to that side of the ball. I see Tyreke as a definite All-Star if he continues improving his efficiency as he did this past season. He can definitely be a 20-6-5 type of player on good %'s and elite defense. I don't see why a rebuilding team like Sacramento would move that sort of young talent(he's 23, he's a pup still). If they are wanting to get rid of the old regime, it should be Cousins as he's a cancer.

There's no way Sacto matches a $10-$12M a year offer for Tyreke. Wow.

I don't get it, how can you make an offer you can't actually afford w/o making subsequent moves?

It won't be hard to get Vasquez traded as he's a quality Starter / Super-6th Man that is owed $2.1 mil in 2013-2014. As for Robin Lopez contract, he has an unguaranteed Contract where he's only owed $500k if he is let go before July 5th.

Can the Kings work out a S&T involving Tyreke while sending back JUST Vasquez+a future 1st+a huge TPE to the Kings?
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Doesn't it help the Pacers cap wise if they sign the bench players they want before re-signing West?

true, plus we're still in the moratorium now that I think about it. none of this stuff is official, so they have time to set it up. that s&t'd work, I'd take that even if it were a normal everyday trade if I'm Sacto.
