Not sold on Copeland. I wonder about his defense. He did look good offensively against IND in the playoffs. And you would have to give him the nod over Green at this point.
Hibbert scored 17 on 51% shooting.
Difference? Brook got up more shots. Primarily because they didn't have a soul that could play in the paint besides Brook. Of course, Joakim being out hurt helped significantly.
Oh, it's worth noting:
Lopez scored 30% more on 50% more shots. Not sure how that translates into Lopez "is a significantly better offensive player."
I'll concede Lopez is a better offensive player, but he's so horrible at defense and rebounding it makes Hibbert significantly more valuable, IMO. And if Hibbert can keep playing like he did in the playoffs, it pushes it even more in his favor.
Lopez averaged a pathetic 6.9 RPG. Even if you take his PER 36 it's a pathetic 8.2. Hibbert's at 10.4. Also, his 8.3RPG actual in only 28 minutes per game is phenomenal. Pu
(1) I actually watch basketball, I know that isn't true for many of you, I've physically seen both these players play basketball. One of them is much better at offense than the other.
(2) Lopez scored nearly 20 ppg on 52% shooting. Even if we ONLY look at the post all star break Roy (letting him off the hook for the entirely putrid numbers he had for half the season), he put up nearly 16 ppg on 51% shooting. Lopez on the entire year averaged 4 more ppg than Roy at his best, while shooting a slightly higher percentage, and while being a model of consistency. In no month last year did he average less than 18 points per game. In no month last year did Roy average 18 or more points.
I'd still take Roy over Brook, but this is dumb. Whether it's the eye test or statistics or any other way you want to measure the two offensively, Brook is better at putting the ball in the hoop.
Why is there arguments about players? i thought this was to post rumors and trades?

I don't get it.
I guarentee they have a trade set up for Eric Gordon.
