Not as bad as calling Hibbert and Lopez a draw.

Lopez is a great offensive Center and Hibbert struggled last year, but we can all agree a healthy Hibbert is atleast on par with Lopez offensively. However, Lopez may be one of the worst rebounding/defensive starting Centers in the league, especially for a guy considered to be an All-Star. Hibbert laps him in that regards.
No, we certainly cannot agree that Hibbert is on par with Brook offensively... because he isn't, not even close. Brook is a significantly better offensive player. I wouldn't take Brook over Roy, but let's not trap ourselves with outright falsehoods - Brook is a very good offensive player, Hibbert, even healthy, is just acceptable on that end of the floor.

Not sold on Copeland. I wonder about his defense. He did look good offensively against IND in the playoffs. And you would have to give him the nod over Green at this point.

Lopez is a lot smoother offensively that's for sure. Defensive nod has to go to Roy, although Lopez improved his rebounding last year.

West gets 33 mpg, KG gets 30 mpg (expect that to go down further this year with his age), While West gets more ppg, apg, slightly higher FG%, and a higher PER, not to mention KG will be 38 next season, his play will get worse most likely each passing season
You're stretching. Those stats couldn't be any more identical.Still a draw in my book. I would say Garnett is more clutch at the FT line too. Those FT's are huge in the playoffs.

my point is KG is not superior to West in any area right now any more, and West is the better scorer now IMO, and remember KG is on the decline, each passing season he will most likely get worse

Well, in the playoffs Brook scored an impressive 22 on a unimpressive 47% shooting.

Hibbert scored 17 on 51% shooting.

Difference? Brook got up more shots. Primarily because they didn't have a soul that could play in the paint besides Brook. Of course, Joakim being out hurt helped significantly.

Yikes... I love Roy but I'm not sure about that one.

    Oh, it's worth noting:

Lopez scored 30% more on 50% more shots. Not sure how that translates into Lopez "is a significantly better offensive player."

He's only a better scorer because he plays more minutes. Subtract those 3-4 minutes and his average is right at KG's. He averages a point every two minutes or so. I was only talking about next season so no need to speculate down the road. Sure I would rather have West but anybody(non Pacer fans) looking at this objectively would call it as close to a draw as you can get.

that is selling Hibbert short, he is not as good offensively as Lopez, but to say he is just acceptable is not true, he showed when healthy he is a good offensive player, when his wrist healed he was scoring about 14 ppg last season, and he averaged 17 ppg in the playoffs

but that is why West is better IMO! KG can't play heavy minutes anymore! That is one of the problems that comes with age, while West certainly isn't young, he can still play heavy minutes, and KG just can't do it and stay healthy anymore. And there is a good chance KG's mpg go down even further next season

I'll concede Lopez is a better offensive player, but he's so horrible at defense and rebounding it makes Hibbert significantly more valuable, IMO. And if Hibbert can keep playing like he did in the playoffs, it pushes it even more in his favor.

Lopez averaged a pathetic 6.9 RPG. Even if you take his PER 36 it's a pathetic 8.2. Hibbert's at 10.4. Also, his 8.3RPG actual in only 28 minutes per game is phenomenal. Pu

    (1) I actually watch basketball, I know that isn't true for many of you, I've physically seen both these players play basketball. One of them is much better at offense than the other.

    (2) Lopez scored nearly 20 ppg on 52% shooting. Even if we ONLY look at the post all star break Roy (letting him off the hook for the entirely putrid numbers he had for half the season), he put up nearly 16 ppg on 51% shooting. Lopez on the entire year averaged 4 more ppg than Roy at his best, while shooting a slightly higher percentage, and while being a model of consistency. In no month last year did he average less than 18 points per game. In no month last year did Roy average 18 or more points.

I'd still take Roy over Brook, but this is dumb. Whether it's the eye test or statistics or any other way you want to measure the two offensively, Brook is better at putting the ball in the hoop.

KG averaged 29 minutes in 2009 and came back to play 31 minutes the next two years. There is no way to predict how many minutes he will average next year. We'll just agree to disagree on this one.

How many attempts did each player get per game? We've all complained about our guards not getting Roy the ball as often as we would like, so I'm wondering if part of the scoring difference is related to touches.

Not sure how this would work as Redick is an UFA. Would have to be a sign and trade, but why would Redick agree to that?

With a S&T he would get paid what he wants and gets to go to a better team. The Clippers can't get him (b/c of the cap) w/o a S&T.
