@WojYahooNBA: Kobe Bryant is traveling to Germany to have another round of platelet-rich plasma therapy on his right knee, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Does anyone know if it comes on FSN Midwest? I am in Bloomington and we got all of the regular season games here, hoping to get this pre season game as well...

No offense, but I don't get why anyone would refer to MJ as his least recognizable number. There's only one number he should be associated with.
45 is the best nickname for Jordan.

It's the perfect situation for him. He can put up some stats and wow with some dunks, without playing within the strict system of a team that is actually trying to win the majority of its games.

It really is a good place for him to be. I talked to some Suns fans when the trade first went down and they were excited about it. Not because they think he's good, they know he's not, but they got a pick for Scola and Green will help them lose but do it in a fun, exciting way. As fun as losing can be anyway, you guys know what I mean.

Gerald Green should probably become a professional dunker... he gets paid for it already anyway.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

For those who may be concerned that the so-absurd-it's-funny Blazers Curse may have been broken, I've got some great news for you.

Trail Blazers rookie CJ McCollum to have foot surgery | The Point Forward - SI.com

Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, the 10th pick in the 2013 draft, will have surgery after breaking his foot in practice Saturday.

McCollum, 22, broke the the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot. It’s the same injury he sustained in a Jan. 5 game for Lehigh last season. McCollum was expected to be sidelined 8-10 weeks, but he ended up missing the rest of the college season.

The Blazers said they won’t set a timetable for his recovery until after the surgery, which hadn’t been scheduled yet.

The 6-foot-4 McCollum averaged 23.9 points in 12 games as a senior last season. He averaged 21 points (on 36.6 percent shooting) in five games for Portland at the Las Vegas Summer League.

McCollum was facing stiff competition for playing time during his rookie season. The Blazers’ backcourt includes reigning Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard and veterans Wes Matthews and Mo Williams.

Quincy Miller looks like a different player now than he was at Baylor. His knee is fully healed and now he has a workable NBA body. He is moving so much better now.

He's going on behalf of the NBA IIRC.

It's called conflict of interest. You can't be on both sides of the CBA. You can't be an owner-coach, either.

Say Lebron was part-owner of the Heat. He could circumvent the salary cap and pay himself league minimum, since he'd be getting the profits from ownership anyway. Likewise, if Derek Fisher owned the Heat he could sign himself to a max contract and nobody would be able to do anything about it.

Jordan was part owner of the wizards and had to sell back his shares before he could un-retire and play for them. Magic Johnson had to do the same thing.

It's part of the promotional NBA Global Tour. Jalen as a former Pacer represents Indiana. Houston is being represented by Clyde Drexler and Robert Horry. Wish NBA have sent Reggie & Rik instead

Jason Kidd just bought into the Nets so I think a coach can own a team.
I don't know about owner players but it wouldn't be required by labor law just a preference by the owners and union if it's in the cba. Lots of business owners work in their business with no limits.

dont think those 2 get along too well, I remember hearing they have always had a combative locker room.

I think they're also trying to protect against egomaniacs who would buy a team and then want to play on it. You don't need rich old guys making a mockery of the sport. And even with legends like Jordan, it could put the coach in an awkward position. Better to just outlaw it than have it cause a headache for the league.
