Looks like Phoenix's new management isn't too enamored with Kendall Marshall. I'm not either.
I think Marshall's got a long way to go to be a useful NBA player, but giving him the Gerald Green treatment is sort of weird. He's still a 2nd year guy on a cheap deal. The Suns have put Kendall Marshall on the trade block in hopes of getting some return on the 2012 lottery pick, several league executives told NBA.com, with Marshall at No. 3 on the point guard depth chart after moving to upgrade the position.
“He’s out there,” said a member of one personnel department, meaning Marshall is available.
“They’re trying to attach him to pretty much any deal that comes up,” another executive said here at Summer League. “If you want to talk about any of their players, they include him. He’s basically the price of admission to any trade right now.”
Gooden was wavied today. If he's healthy he could be a decent pickup for the vet. min. to play some backup 4/5. Wouldn't be my first choice of what's left but he'd be cheap at this point.
Bucks amnestied Drew Gooden.
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/t...ACN4609796.htm=== Bucks use amnesty clause to waive Gooden ===
Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks used the NBA's amnesty
provision to waive forward Drew Gooden on Tuesday.
Gooden has approximately $13.36 million and two years left on his contract
with the Bucks. The team, though, will not have to take a hit against the
salary cap for making Gooden an amnesty player.
“People talk about how quiet he [McKey] is, but he’s really been helpful. He gives a lot of insight to players in how to guard certain teams and what their weaknesses are. The whole team listens to him, and it makes my job a lot easier. Having players like him is what pro basketball is all about for me.” —Larry Brown
I think Miller was better for Miami than Mo would be.
A healthy Oden, OTOH...
Healthy oden is laughable.
If we could sign Mike Miller somehow that would really pump up the bench scoring. I wonder if we could somehow play him and Copeland on the floor at the same time that could spread the defense so thin that we could drop it into Roy for easy buckets and if Roy gets double/triple teamed he could pass it back out for an easy three attempt. His time with Miami could be beneficial as well.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.
Here's something that will shock most Drew Gooden is a year younger than David West. Gooden turns 32 in Sept. West turns 33 in August.
Wonder what the Bucks plan to do with extra cap room they get from the Gooden amnesty. Almost no good FAs left to go after. Must mean a trade right?
That would be awful. I love downtown Bobby Brown I would hate if he signed with NY. He would be a steal at the vets min. I sure would miss him in the Euroleague.
So Ebrand got one more mil than Coperland and for one year only to sign with the Hawks? damn.
I have picked up Gooden in NBA fantasy from time to time, he still seems to be able to produce and help a team win when called on to start.
That could be a huge need. While I like the Copeland signing as a backup, I don't see him holding the position down when asked to start like Tyler. Gooden may be able to do that.
Gotta love nepotism.
