Wade isn't getting any younger but he can take over any time he wants and he did against us and the spurs.
Wade took over against us? Really?!?! When?!?

Looks like Phoenix's new management isn't too enamored with Kendall Marshall. I'm not either.

    http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2013/0...-on-the-block/
The Suns have put Kendall Marshall on the trade block in hopes of getting some return on the 2012 lottery pick, several league executives told NBA.com, with Marshall at No. 3 on the point guard depth chart after moving to upgrade the position.

“He’s out there,” said a member of one personnel department, meaning Marshall is available.

“They’re trying to attach him to pretty much any deal that comes up,” another executive said here at Summer League. “If you want to talk about any of their players, they include him. He’s basically the price of admission to any trade right now.”
I think Marshall's got a long way to go to be a useful NBA player, but giving him the Gerald Green treatment is sort of weird. He's still a 2nd year guy on a cheap deal.

I was surprised Marshall was a first rounder to be honest. I mean, he does have great court vision, but is that enough to compensate for his terrible athleticism and absolutely horrendous jump shot?

You forgot to mention his turnstile defense.

I actually liked Marshall coming out of college. He has "the point guard gene" so I figured there was a place for him in the league.

I would take him as a kinda-rookie project PG, his distribution should be coveted by our team.

So if the Pacers could trade Danny Green + player X (filler) for Chuck Hayes would you do it? I really don't see Chuck as a hot commodity right now and the Kings could be just that stupid to take on Danny Green.

    http://www.csnnw.com/article/source-...yes-open-trade
Absolutely, on the face of it, but the contracts aren't close enough; we would have to include someone else, unfortunately.

He really was an awful prospect I never understood the hype. He is a two way liability imo product of the UNC system. Really all he did was pass it up in transition elite outlet passer. I wouldn't of touched him with a 10ft pole.

Gooden was wavied today. If he's healthy he could be a decent pickup for the vet. min. to play some backup 4/5. Wouldn't be my first choice of what's left but he'd be cheap at this point.

    Bucks amnestied Drew Gooden.

=== Bucks use amnesty clause to waive Gooden ===

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks used the NBA's amnesty
provision to waive forward Drew Gooden on Tuesday.

Gooden has approximately $13.36 million and two years left on his contract
with the Bucks. The team, though, will not have to take a hit against the
salary cap for making Gooden an amnesty player.

The whole team listens to him, and it makes my job a lot easier. Having players like him is what pro basketball is all about for me.” —Larry Brown

I think Miller was better for Miami than Mo would be.

    A healthy Oden, OTOH...

He's a great passer, not only on outlet passes. Those UNC teams just weren't the same without him, and I figured his jump shot could be fixed. Alas, I am a casual basketball fan and do not get into grading out prospects or sitting through hours of tape on guys. My rationale was very simple: He can do one thing at an all world level, so he has a place in the league.

If we could sign Mike Miller somehow that would really pump up the bench scoring. I wonder if we could somehow play him and Copeland on the floor at the same time that could spread the defense so thin that we could drop it into Roy for easy buckets and if Roy gets double/triple teamed he could pass it back out for an easy three attempt. His time with Miami could be beneficial as well.

The last player we need is another Wing shooter. At most, maybe a Big Man like the geriatric Drew Gooden....but I doubt Bird fills that last roster spot. Gooden will likely end up in the same place that all amnestied players end up....a Senior Citizen home or the Knicks.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Here's something that will shock most Drew Gooden is a year younger than David West. Gooden turns 32 in Sept. West turns 33 in August.

Wonder what the Bucks plan to do with extra cap room they get from the Gooden amnesty. Almost no good FAs left to go after. Must mean a trade right?

That would be awful. I love downtown Bobby Brown I would hate if he signed with NY. He would be a steal at the vets min. I sure would miss him in the Euroleague.

someone like Gay or Granger. I have to imagine they have something up their sleeves although Gooden counts to the cap floor so they don't need to make a move. May be smart to take all that cap space to the trade deadline.

I have picked up Gooden in NBA fantasy from time to time, he still seems to be able to produce and help a team win when called on to start.

That could be a huge need. While I like the Copeland signing as a backup, I don't see him holding the position down when asked to start like Tyler. Gooden may be able to do that.
