The Jets made a good move in drafting Geno Smith. Now all they need to do is cut those two scrubs in Sanchez and Tebow. Eating the cost is better than the distraction that those two bring. I can't take anymore nauseating Sal Paolantonio reports from the Jets complex. I prefer NFL coverage that actually focuses on good teams instead of fixating on a terrible team with two of the worst quarterbacks in the league. It's amazing that the Giants have won two Super Bowls in recent years, yet the Jets get all of the national attention as far as the NY market is concerned. No one around the country cares about them and they aren't even the most popular team in the NY area, yet they are constantly shoved down our throat as if we want to hear about a "quarterback controversy" between two bums who can't play the position.
I am pretty sure that the Giants want that 'lack' of attention from the media. Leaves them do their business quietly.
Now regarding the Jets. What you say is spot on but can I admit a guilty pleasure here? I love all that stuff that surrounds them cause they are a circus and almost always a failure on and off the pitch. I enjoy watching them fail tie and time again. I enjoy watching their obnoxious fans booing their own players. I know it's bad saying that but still...
The buttfumble last season for example will always stay in our minds and summarizes the whole Jets in one play. Priceless.
Good lord, who cares? Why does the main story on an Indianapolis TV station concern the release of a scrub backup QB for the NY Jets who didn't do squat last season? The attention that this guy gets is just nauseating. I prefer to talk about NFL players who are actually good.
