I'd like to see Shipley beat out Satele he looked good last year. Hope we draft another guard.

Colts are going to play Thomas at LG next to Castanzo. This should at least make running to the left pretty productive as Costanzo is a very good run blocker for an LT.

Not sure how easy it will be for Reitz to move over which means at least before camp starts McGlynn (puke) is #1 on the depth chart at RG.

I'd also love to see the Colts pick-up another big, physical guard. It would be nice if Shipley could move there but not sure he has the feet or the size/strength to pull it off.

Well that's interesting. I assumed they'd pair Thomas up with Cherilus and have our best run blockers on the same side.

Anyone have an update on Bean Anderson? I'm not sure what his injury was last year. I assume it was the same foot injury he had in college. I'd be curious what their expectations are for him this year.

McGlynn is our new Ryan Diem except he has never been good. Why is he still here? Hopefully Reitz can move to RG and Shipley can beat out Satele.

I'm worried that McGlynn is still on the Colts' books but I guess that's because either

    1) Colts and Grigs rate him which is worrying at least or

    2) They expect the draft to pick one there or some late FA signing where their price has dropped significantly and then dumb McGlynn.

    I really hope it's the 2nd.

If we can get a right guard in the draft and bump McGlynn out of there I will feel really good about our offensive line going into next season. If we cannot hopefully Reitz can move over to RG because I do not want to see McGlynn protecting Luck anymore.

I was looking at the OL rankings for the past few years from nfldraftscout.com last night. I'd forgotten how highly rated Ijalana was before his draft. They had him as the 3rd best OG in 2011.

I wonder if the Colts plan to give Ijalana first shot at RG with McGlynn the backup plan if Ijalana still has knee problems.

Bean Anderson was the 38th ranked OT in 2012.

If anyone is curious, here are the position rankings for 2011, 2012. I wish they were updated for draft order and team.

Had pretty much forgot about Ijalana. Talent certainly seemed to be there now it is just a question of how well he recovered from injuring the same knee twice in two years. Maybe the Colts feel good about his recovery?

I agree about Shipley, it seemed that a lot of our big comebacks were with Shipley in place of Satele.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
