Nothing made me happier than see Roy grab the front of Tyler's jersey and tell him to win the m*****f****** game. He was ready to eat someone's head off.
Oh, yeah. That was just awesome. One of my favorite moments.

Also, good job by Vogel to sub in Tyler. It was the right choice. He has the ability to be helpful in the end of games due to his FT shooting and this decision paid off at the end.

And here's something else I noticed. The inbounds play that resulted in Tyler's free throws was all Tyler. He saw that we had gone stagnant and so he darted to the corner making himself eligible for the FTs. Excellent awareness on his part.

In any case, this was a huge win.

I didn't consider a 4 - 0 possible. But the team did it. They amended themselves for some bad home losses. Great job. We finally broke even on the road.

    I'm so, so glad

PS: The Clippers never got the lead in the game

    Things that made me happy:
    • Finished a game with our defensive anchor fouled out
    • Calm and collected during free throws tonight... a bit of clutchness?
    • David West starting to round into form
    • Roy Hibbert got his sack back
    • Amazingly well rounded game for Paul George... threatening a trip-dub
    • No lobs

    Things that made me sad:
    • Lance lost control at the end of the game, a lot of concentration mistakes, not Born Ready for "winning time" yet
    • Hansbrough was absolutely erased in a game where we needed him
    • We were totally flustered with zone and couldn't do much out of time outs in response
    • Looks like Green isn't going to get past OJ in the rotation, we need to do something about the wing spot in the offseason

So everyone who watched the game against the clips when we played them in Indy without Roy that was asking. "Is Roy Hibbert really THIS much of a difference?"...I think we have our answer tonight

Has the state of Indiana outlawed zone defense? Because the Hoosiers and the Pacers were both clueless about how to attack it.
Tell me about it. You gotta move without the ball against the zone but no one was moving. As a result our O went stagnant and we couldn't score.

It didn't help that they were red hot either. A 41 point 4th quarter is never a good sight for a team as good defensively as ours.

    Thankfully, we won.

Warriors really put them in a bind, same way Portland did us with Roy. "It's a ton of money, but who else we got?"

That's huge. The crowd was absolutely silent for 3 quarters tonight. They wanted a lob so bad, and we would not give one up. Great defensive effort tonight (Crawford notwithstanding).

Man Mahinmi and Augustin just look clueless out there, pretty sure Paul George was tired after playing 42 minutes a game since David West has been out. A well needed rest coming up, I agree CableKC, we really need some offensive sets, when we get stagnant, but it might be too late in the season to practice those.
Can Vogel not just run a time out, diagram some play and then show the Team what he wants done?

Seriously....watch the last QTR and you will see SEVERAL possessions where it was like in the NBA before the NBA shot clock where PG/GH/Lance was passing it from side to side. It was frustrating cuz I know that Vogel is good at designing and running plays to get good looks for the Team....why he doesn't run those for a lineup that has only 1 true creator on the offensive end is beyond me.

Just not enough time or energy to get up a post tonight but I can't get away without saying two things.

    1. This team can give me a bleeding ulcer.

    2. This team is capable of bringing me great joy.

Great win, one hell of a road trip and we really need the Knicks to lose a damn game.

They play Miami and ATL in B2B games on the road.

Let's pray that Spolestra decides to actually play LeDecision and Wade

I may have to ignore that game entirely cuz I don't want to root for the Heat...but don't want to root for the Knicks as well.

I really like our chances of gaining some ground and putting things back in our own hands we have this 3 day break that is WELL deserved meanwhile Knicks play Miami and Atlanta back to back and we get to play the Thunder at home a night after they play the Spurs...

    Impressive road trip!

I only saw the final 30 seconds but it was very entertaining.

Roy Hibbert has been saving his best play for the playoffs and probably a little bit for DPOY voting as well I presume.

Remember Roy's mysterious wrist injury that had him shooting with a stump? I was skeptical too, but seems pretty valid now.

Pretty much. I'm loving the win, but if I was Vinny...I would have rode the bench to the end. Their bench had scored 50+ of their points, and the reason why they were able to get back into the game.
To be fair to Vinny, Chris Paul is as much the coach of that team as he is, especially late in games. And I didn't think he would sit himself or not give himself ball-handling duties no matter what happened.

We were really running on fumes for this win, even moreso than the Suns win. Like others, I was surprised to pull it out. There were shots of the benches towards the end of the fourth: the Pacers looked dumbfounded and dead tired, while CP3 was barking orders at everyone. A real horror show.

Damn those calls were spotty. Tons of hand check fouls on Paul, Hill, and the couple that fouled out Roy. Then, the no call on Barnes (which was a foul in any other quarter) followed by him completely cussing out the ref for longer than any player I've seen this season.

Vinny is the Pacers MVP on this game, he took Bledsoe and Odom out so he could play CP3 and Blake, he also decided to take the ball away from Crawford who was killing us, bravo Vinny bravo.
Yep. Dudes behind me throughout the run kept screaming at Vinny to bring them back in, and while they didn't particularly play poorly when they checked back in the energy level wasn't the same and they went away from the zone.

Funny stuff, Lance and Tyler were both able to sneak into a Clippers huddle and steal the plays toward the end of the game.

Hibbert talking to his teammates just after he fouled out make me so happy.
The Pacers almost got "zowned" tonight. Meaning they almost got owned by the zone.

Is it just me or am I starting to see a lot of Mark Jackson in George Hill when he is handling the ball? I think I may have sold this guy short. I have felt comfortable with him with the ball in his hands in crunch time to not turn it over. He is a completely different player than Jackson, but just the way George Handles the ball when he is bringing it up court makes me think maybe he has been watching some Jackson footage.

Anyways, I would have been happier if those free throws Tyler hit really did win the game and Hibbert was right. I can't believe Odom almost hit that three. Still good to breathe a sigh of relief and move on to the Thunder Friday. Let's hope New York can falter and we can lock this number two seed up sooner than later. They play Miami in Miami next so we could have the two seed by 2 full win again if they lose, And no I won't be rooting for the Heat either. They play the Hawks the next night and I dislike both teams still.

Well, on the plus side, it's another victory in the "games decided by 3 points or less" category. Apparently this proves that we're clutch

The back-to-back-to-back series they won earlier was something special, but sweeping
this road trip is even more monumental of an accomplishment.

I can't think of enough good things to say about the hearts and fortitude of these guys...

We're very fortunate here in central Indiana to have such a great and loveable team.

Especially since all those venues, even in their 'down-years', have always gave us troubles. And, how long has it been, (if ever), that we won twice in LA in the same year.
