    Default Chargers (11-3) at Colts (11-3) - 12/26/04

Today's winner is guaranteed the 3 seed in the upcoming playoffs with a possibility of moving up to a 2 or maybe 1. The loser of this game is locked into the 4 seed.

Everyone find a way to be Ravens and Jets fans today too (I know, it just doesn't feel right) as they each take on the Steelers and Patriots, respectively. In a possible 3-way tie with the Colts at 13-3, the Colts would win the tiebreaker and grab the top spot. So, here's to hoping.

Along with the game thread we're also going to try a game chat for the first time this season. You can find the chat through the 'Chat Room' link at the top of the page. Feel free to ask if you need some help finding or setting it up.

    Game Time: 1PM EST
    TV: CBS

How would we move past the Pats if we hold same record? Did that first loss not count?

For the Colts to secure the #1 seed, the Steelers, Patriots, and Colts would all have to finish with the same record. If that were to happen, then the Colts would (it's believed this is the case) obtain the 1 seed due to "Strength of Victory", since head-to-head matchups are thrown out in this case. In other words, the Colts' loss to NE earlier this year would not matter. Now, if the Patriots and Colts finish with the same record by themselves then the Patriots win that tiebreaker. I have no clue who wins the tiebreaker if the Chargers enter the mix with the same record.

I hope we win just from the standpoint that I don't want anything to do with the Jets in the first round. We don't play up to par against them and it seems that one side of the team never shows up against them...

The D (after two offsides penalties) forced the Chargers to punt. Now the offense takes over with 90+ yards to go to hit paydirt.

Peyton threw an interception at the freakin' 3 yard line. I really want this record to go away so everyone, including Peyton, can stop thinking about it.

The Chargers just struck first. Terrible start to the game all over the place.

Now the Colts are driving again, only this time they're using the run effectively. Dominic and Edge are gaining large.

The Colts are once again threatening for a score.

It would be interesting to see how many of Peyton's interceptions are at or near the goal line. I'm thinking at least 6 out of the 10/11.

Peyton has thrown 4 red zone interceptions this year.

    I hate Randy Cross.

    Ugh. Defense anyone?

I'm also getting concerned about the number of dropped passes by Clark this year.

We are playing the worst game that we have played all year so far. The play of the offense and defense so far have made the ST look really good so far.

4 trips to the red zone, and we have 3 field goals and 1 turnover.
