It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.
Division Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Conference Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 2005
NBA Champions 1989, 1990, 2004
Big East teams can always be a little hard to pick. (Although, that won't be an issue any longer)
Teams like Pitt and Syracuse, have traditionally (well, traditionally - as of late -) beaten up the Big East while losing in the tournament (while other Big East teams have more success.)
My sweet 16 is still all alive, so I'm happy.

and Marshall is a solid SG being forced to play the pg,
UCLA is a talented team also they just dont have any size and it kills them. Bazz is a pretty limited player right now there is a reason he ist invloved much he isnt that versatile. All he does well is come off of screens and post up. Dude has some serious tunnel vision.
Not bad for a bunch of geeks Cdash told u it would be a great game. I hope NM comes back I picked them lol. The game was a coin flip though I really liked Harvard's team.

My bracket is already toast. I had New Mexico in the championship game.
^ ya you called it...really think GRIII is going pro?
And nevermind..Had New Mexico in the final 8.
Seriously...I thought Jeremy Lin graduated. Why is Harvard good? :P
first NCAA win ever, congrats nerds.
hey Northwestern, take note, relax acceptance standards for athletes and this can be you!
But that is the reason they are a program on the rise. They can recruit guys like Kyle Casey now where in the past he had no chance of getting in.

I genuinely had never lost a Final Four team in the Round of 64..... until today. Thanks, New Mexico.

Take me out to the black, tell 'em I ain't coming back. Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
how's that Moutain West is better than the Big 10 working out Barkley? Barkley's a funny guy but they gotta stop shoehorning him into these things with a sheet of talking points, he clearly doesn't watch college basketball.
I sorta feel bad for Montana. At least this one's on TruTV.
I didn't fill out a complete bracket this year but my pick to win it all is Georgetown.
The conferences to have multiple games and be undefeated are the Big Ten, A-10, and Pac-12. All looked pretty great to start for the most part.
Well, that was bad, UNLV & New Mexico

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)
I probably debated New Mexico vs. Ohio State out of that region for a solid 2 hours. Went the wrong way. SOB
Frankly it hasn't been a great showing for the mid major west coast conferences, and I know Mountain West wanted to be treated like a high major, but I just can't do that right now.
Of course my bracket is in really bad shape, one of the worst first days I've ever had. Rolled the dice with Belmont and thought Mizzou might finally play up to their talent, plus New Mexico going down. Blargh
Doing well so far but losing New Mexico hurt a lot, as I had them actually reaching the 8. Sigh.

Saturday game times are set, but still no word on Sunday game times.
Michigan-VCU leads off on Saturday at 12:15, Butler-Marquette at 7:45
I'm hoping IU, if they win today, plays late afternoon/evening since the wife made some unexpected family plans for early afternoon
