    I assume he's always drunk
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

So he's quoting "The Big Lebowski". But I've never seen that movie.

Fitzgerald would be my first choice and Cruz my second choice, I expect some weird 3rd choice.

I don't know how Fitzgerald's cap situation effects the Colts, but he is IMO the best wide receiver in the NFL. It's a shame he's been stuck in Arizona.

According to Rotoworld, Fitz was due a $10 million bonus yesterday (Friday).

    2013: $5 million (+ $10 million option bonus due 3/15), 2014: $12.75 million, 2015: $8 million (+ $8 million roster bonus), 2016: $15 million, 2017-2018: $14.75 million, 2019: Free Agent

Irsay is a weird mofo but he's entertaining and I love him as an owner. He earned my respect when he did what he had to do last year with Manning/Luck and kicked the Polians to the curb. Took a lot of balls to do that

Nothing against Cruz, guy was great two season ago, good last year. Would no doubt be a major upgrade. Personally, would kind of prefer a WR with a little size though. Plus, what in the hell would Cruz cost us in the immediate term and long term?

But, if it actually materializes, I'm certainly welcoming him with open arms.

Second thought - if the deal doesn't materialize, how much does Irsay's inane public play-by-play of negatively influence the negotiations?

Last time we did this we ended up with Vontae so he has to be a pretty good player.

    Cruz, Danario Alexander, Jeremy Maclin

    all make sense to me.

Why are you trying to turn this into an anti-Pacer thread? We were having fun here.
    Cause he lives off that.

Anyway, don't think it's Fitz. Being in Arizona doesn't necessarily mean it's him. He is there cause of the NFL owners meeting that is taking place .

The last thing the Colts should do is overpay for a WR. Luck could make any WR great. Just needs to make sure that O-Line is great.

Luck needs WR's that don't drop the ****ing ball.

Fitz would be worth it, but I we would have to move money around to make it work. Cruz wants #1 money. You could do much worse than salsa, but he is not the big bodied dude I am hoping for. It may be a better idea to draft a WR instead of selling the farm for an overpriced guy.

Very possible. I didn't realize Alexander's release was a waiver deal.

This is pretty much exactly how the Vontae Davis hoopla went. He posted a bunch of late-night crazy tweets... and everyone was buzzing... and then he went silent for a day and everyone presumed he was drunk and the deal was dead... and then boom. Trade.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Danario Alexander fits the bill of a big receiver who's restricted. Not really a "whale" but would be a solid plan B.
