I am going to have nightmares of David West and DJ Augustine sagging off their man to help in the low post and leaving Blake or Jamison wide open for a three pointer.

So mad with everyone and everything right now. You had a chance to get away a bit from NY and you lose at your home against the Lakers without Kobe. Not only that, they managed to score 13 three pointers on you with Steve ****ing Blake and Jamison having a party from there cause you kept leaving them alone.

West was pathetic tonight. Sometimes, he looked he didn't want to get the ball at all. Paul George had another bad night. Too many times we simply didn't know what to do on offense.

Finally, once again, when the game was on the line you turned the ball over, you missed a free throw and you couldn't score. Our record against the good teams is not flattering either. Really disappointed all around.

I am just glad that we get back on the horse tomorrow so we can move on.

Now I get to hear from all my LA based laker fans about this for, oh, EVER.

We were as mentally tough as used toilet paper tonight, and we HAVE to fix it if we want to be a true playoff threat. Pure and simple.

people freaking out about a BAD loss with PG and West shooting 10-33 and Steve Blake acting like Kobe, also the refs..... Just chill out people
What bothers me is that we have consistently been turning the ball over like we're playing in Rucker Park

that Paul George has been pretty terrible for the past month

that any team with a stretch 4 will dismantle our defense

that George Hill can't stay in front of your average YMCA player

that this team has at least one stretch a game where they simply cannot score

A lot of this team's shortcomings were showcased tonight. It doesn't always cost us the game, but these are definitely recurring problems.

I really wish we signed Jamal Crawford.

He would be perfect for us.

Friggin' Atlanta beat the Lakers with Kobe. The Pacers are barely a playoff team at this point.
If Kobe was in the game would be different. Steve Blake and Antawn Jamison wouldn't go crazy like they did.

Paul has been playing with his head up his bum (on offense) ever since the all-star break. Way too many lazy passes on the perimeter and uncatchable bullet passes in close proximity, in the paint. They're almost becoming 100% predictable.

David missed way too many shots, that he normally makes, in this game.

This. Lance Stephenson's turnovers and horrid shots are costly.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

i missed most of the game. but i saw the artest easy shot with several pacers just standing and waiting for someone else to grab the damned ball- flat out inexcusable.
tonight's loss surpasses the embarrassment i felt after losing to the ancient celtics.
this is now the worst loss of the season for me.
and i see again that paul george took half of his damned shot from downtown- this is also NOT acceptable.

gotta say i agree with those who doubt this team's ability to execute in tough situations. they are FAR, FAR more likely to simply fumble the ball all on their own like pg did in those final 10 seconds. and it isn't just him who i have seen simply either just lose it and turn it over- hill has done it too as have others. and if by chance they don't just give it away, they make nothing useful of the time left and get a terrible looking shot like they have never practiced a final possession type of shot- inexcusable.
at a time when this team should be looking ready to make some noise in the playoffs, i am having a quite a bit of doubt with them.
no, this team is not a real contender this year. good most nights but, not even a top 5 team really. quickly falling into a top 12 team.
edit- i almost forgot, lance with 5 to's is also unacceptable. and augustine is just well- bad.

@KevinDing: Kobe yelling the play call to Nash: "Same thing! Same s***, Steve!"

    Yep they knew "the play".

No excuse for this kind of loss. George Hill scored alot only because Nash can't guard his shadow. Hill is a lazy player who is way overrated expecially on defense. He is terrible at running an offense. Never plays with any urgency. Laker fans were better than the Pacer fans and that is shameful in our building. When will our
FO ever get tired of seeing this and do something about it. Vogel please never ever consider playing Augustine and Hill together.

In any case, that was a horrible loss. We should defend our home court. Poor showing offensively by Paul George and David West.

    I'm quite sad right now

Pacers were the 4th best road team in the league last season.

This year, the Pacers are 12th, 7th in the East on the road.

If you let Steve Blake and Antawn Jamison go off in a game you aren't going to win and you have problems as a team.

That being said the Pacers can still make noise come playoff time but they won't get past Miami though

    TROLLING??

They are expressing an opinion that has some validity to it. Since when is that trolling? Or is the word trolling used like the word hate where anything deemed negative is trolling or hate?

That's the effect of Danny Granger's absence. People love to trash him but he comes up big on the road.

Don't let George Hill off the hook. For as much as everyone wants to praise him, his defense was absolutely pathetic tonight. Couldn't keep NASH in front of him...

Hill isn't the great "D" player most on this board thought they were getting when Bird traded for him. Granted he's leagues ahead of Augustin on "D", but then who isn't.

Thinking the game is not their forte. They are slow learners or maybe the coaches forgot to point that out.

I thought this was one of West's worst games this season. Paul George wasn't far behind.

Kudos to Roy for playing solid in there.

We shot 37%, they hit 13 threes, and our two centers got into foul trouble. Our two best offensive weapons combined to go 10 for 33, and the Lakers shot 23 more free throws than us. We played really, really poorly and lost by six points. I wouldn't panic about this loss. I am, however, starting to worry about the growing trend of sloppy play and slow, iso-heavy offense. We can and have played much better.
