Don't know how great of a fit it is with Bethea already there, but I've always liked Reed.

One of the keys for the Colts is to manage the huge amount of cap space they have this year. If they spend it all on 4 year contracts then they won't have any flexibility for the next 4 years. So I expect them to go with a variety of 2, 3, and 4 year contracts so that the cap space can be evened out in the future.

Reed is the kind of player that I would expect them to consider for a 2 year contract. He's too old to be given a 4 year deal to be a cornerstone of the D but he might have enough left to make a positive contribution for 2 years.

Even at his age he is still an impact player. Just like Dawkins was in Denver. A 2 year deal would be fantastic for any team quite frankly. The man knows how to make plays.

I'd be open for a 2 year deal I mean he's better than what we have now of course but this is a young team and while a vet would be nice I'd like a long term solution too.

He's old, but he'd still probly be our best defensive player. I guess I'd be on board with it if the contract was short and reasonable.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

At the very worst he'll be a good coach for our young defensive backs. They will be watching and learning from the best.

On a 2 year contract I say hell yes. This guy is a beast and even though he is long in the tooth I think he would be the perfect mentor for our young DB's and S positions. It would suck for Tom Z because we would need to move him for possibly a draft pick or something similar in value.

After last year we should just cut Zibby. He was horrendous.

Sounds like Robert Mathis wants Ed Reed in the Colts defensive backfield.

I can give 20 reasons why the Colts have potential for a serious SB push. Its a mental game and we simply need to reed between the lines lol
