Im ok with Hibbert not being an asset on offense everygame. But I am getting sick and tired of him being a liability. Sorry I know we won, but thats my one take away from the game.

Luckily for him Noah didn't play today or it would have been horrible to watch.

My thoughts exactly. Let me add, I don't care if he cannot score as a primary option, but when he can't score on put backs, broken plays, and when he is set up nicely by his teammates, then there is a problem...... And that was the case tonight

I wish that was only the case tonight, he has been doing the same thing all year.

A miss off of a Hibbert tip is still a better play than a miss directly rebounded by a Bulls player. Whether he makes the tips or not, those are still 2-3 plays a night that slow down the progression of the opposition's offense. And that's not even counting the 2-3 extra plays he affects by getting enough of the ball to slow up the defensive rebound. Whether he is making his shots or not, he is still helping our team. Even though Mahinmi looks better because he doesn't force shots sometimes, our offense is still better with Hibbert out there.

I know we're all aware of the limitations of plus-minus, but Roy was +15 and Ian was -6. I really like Ian, but even though this was Roy's worst night in a month, he's still the better player.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

What those tips do is stuff Roy's stats in rebounds. See, instead of only having 3 rebounds, he has 9 because after the first touch, he touched it 2 more times for a total of 3. He did this 3 different times for 9 rebounds. He is a self stat stuffer.

Roy " Self Stat Stuffer" Hibbert

Well, it sounds better then your post anyways. /green

So an opponent's defensive rebound is better than a failed 2nd chance opportunity for our team? Because that's basically what I was saying. Obviously it's better if he makes them, but his tips are conducive to our style of play whether he makes them or not.

Also, he doesn't average 8 or 9 offensive rebounds per game. He had 5 offensive rebounds tonight, and that was spread out over 3 different possessions. And that's not counting the tip out to Paul George he had, which was credited to PG, and led to that FT line jumper with a few minutes to go.

Part of the difficulty with Hibbert right now is that his offensive woes are well-known to the refs, who aren't giving him the benefit of the doubt on the offensive side of the ball. He got mugged a couple of times with no call.

Still plenty of awful plays by Roy tonight, but a couple of those weren't his fault.

I hope you're not counting that Paul George bullet pass as a "nice set up."

Great win, I am so freakin stoked!

Lance, yea Lance...wow, what an extra dimension to this offense. He is better for this team then OJ Mayo would have been.

LB is still in the house!

Undefeated in February. Wins over the Heat and the Bulls. Beautiful. I predicted a loss tomorrow, but I'll happily eat crow if we win that one.

love your enthusiam UB but i am very cautiously optimistic. the hawks own us. i dont know why. SA owns us. i dont get how the same style of team in Bulls beats down ATL and we are owned by ATL.

i dont get it. i would rather play the Miami Heat int he ECF's than the Hawks. im almost serious.

I absolutely would. No doubt. Easy.

If the Pacers are going to win, they need to be good enough to be the Heat anyways. I'd rather play them, than play the Hawks and underperform, living with the shame for 9 months...

Very pleased we won. Not that pleased with how we played. The turnovers, decision making, lack of court awareness, making an lame Belinelli look like an offensive juggernaut (even though he was on fire), etc. Glad they didn't have Noah...let along Rose. Still, losing would have stung given those guys out.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

Would love the forum's thoughts on Beleneli. How much of his outburst are we blaming on Lance? It feels like he was hitting from everywhere, but I haven't seen enough of him to know if those are shots he normally hits.
he is kyle korver all over again. no matter what we do he is going to light us up. bulls bench is tough. fkn nate robinson was destroyuing it tonight.

DWEST is cool with not being an all-star. itw was obviousl from his postgame interview. he stated he is going to visit family, and i believe do a littble fishing. I hope MR. DWEST stays here. He seems like an Indiana guy to me. I would deal Hibbert to make certain MR. WEST retires a Pacer.
