An important stat that has been overlooked so far.

We had 17 turnovers. So, one would expect that the Heat had a lot of fast breaks, right? Right?

Wrong! They had only had 6 fast break points in the whole game. In comparison, we scored 12 fast break points out of Miami's 11 turnovers.

That's the difference between this game and the West coast games.

We had 18 turnovers in Denver. They scored 21 fast break points.

We had 21 turnovers in Utah. They scored 18 fast break points.

It's not only the amount of turnovers that matter. It's the type of turnovers that matter the most. Dead ball turnovers are not as costly as stolen passed or picked pockets.
thing is.. i don t see how it will improve even with granger returning. does it bcome even worse. still Granger is a plus.

Lance at point certainly will not help turnovers. George Hill although quiet is the Glue for this team in the backcourt.

    Wow what a game.

It has been touched on already, but I will add that Lance is the total X factor for this team right now. He apparently knocked Lefraud and Dewanda off their "focus" with his swagger and trash talking, and his ability to back it up. I dont' think Wade's athleticism and strength works against Lance, as he probably has a good 20 lbs on Wade and is every bit as strong as Wade. Lance is just a plain fun to watch, he that killer type of player who is relentless.

PG had an all around good game, but I wish he was a bit more aggressive against Lebron. Though they were bringing the double team on George above the arc. So he did the right thing most of the night and passed it up.

We had a handful of possessions where our wings got trapped above the 3pt line and we end up just chucking a terrible shot or getting a shot clock violation. I do not understand this team's inability to drive the ball. Infact I'd garner to say that if we ever need to just get a shot it should be given to West every time. He knows how to make a move to get himself a shot.

I think there will be another thread about this so I wont' get into it here, but we had probably a 40% Heat crowd on a Friday night sell out game with no other major events going on. Pathetic for this city and it was talked about on the post game radio show.

I don't get to many games, but pizza gal and I were there for this one. First half, I was frustrated by the Heat fans and their noise. But, second half, they shut up, and about halfway through the fourth quarter they started filing out.

Miami never had any rhythm, while the Pacers were never rattled by anything. Roy maybe didn't have a big stat line, but I thought he made a couple big plays. DWest, obviously, owned this game. PaulStar was tough, impressive as usual.

Our homecourt advantage is amazing. We own Miami at home. Gotta find a way to continue that on the road.

As good as lance played he could of had another 4-6 points. Quite a few times he had his guy isolated and you could tell he wanted to take him but played within the offense. Once he gets the green light to start to take his man baseline he is going to really shine.

i dont know if it has been touched on but what a very solid game by hansbrough. really good role player off the bench. I would really not like to see us lose him. i dont know what he expects to be paid but the cat is a winner. and gives it all. he played solid tonight.

On a negative note, people can talk all they want about coasting this or coasting that and wait until the playoffs, but I don't want any part of the Pacers. They've absolutely destroyed us WITHOUT Granger. I don't want to see these guys in the playoffs.

It's an interesting thread. It's big (49 pages) but it's always nice to see what the opposing fans think of your team

Hansbrough is perplexing. He is a good back up but chances are that he will not develop into a great starter. But he plays with all his heart and you have to love that.

He is also an excellent FT shooter for a big. I just wish that he is going to be able to find his jump shot once more

    That's another amazing stat:

Ray Allen has only had three scoreless games... his entire career.

Two of them have been against the Pacers... this year.
That's just sweet icing on the cake.....

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Favorite part of the game....asking the massive douche bag in the heat shirt in front of me to read me the score board to me half way through the fourth 'cause my old eyes couldn't quite make out the numbers.

I brought my friend who's a Bulls fan and he would not stop cheering for the Pacers. Surprisingly he said it had more to do with his love of the way the Pacers play than it was just rooting against the Heat.

That's not surprising at all. Most Bulls fans I have talked with in the Internet have a great deal of respect for the style that we play. Great defensive teams tend to respect each other.

haha, that picture is classic. Innocent Lance cannot just believe the words that are being spewed from Chris Bosh's mouth.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Brent inherited the basketball talent AND announcing ability from Rick. Jon got very little.
My favourite Jon Barry moment was when LeBron flat ran over one of our guys with no call, starting the boos and on the same play was then rewarded with a touch foul when he continued for the shot. Jon was absolutely perplexed on the replay, saying "I don't know why they're upset, it's obviously foul."

Hand to God, I didn't see any promo's or anything and picked up the game mid-first quarter on the DVR later in the evening, and I thought I was watching a Miami feed, thinking to myself, 'these Heat announcers are homers.'

My other favorite moment was that double-tech when West just threw Battier to the ground.

And how big of a smile do you thin Larry Lengend had when Lance was not only shutting Wade down but running his mouth the whole time. I saw LeBron and Wade 'grabbing' the ref at halftime and thought they should gotten a T then. Grady's tweet confirms it.
"I mean, you'd walk into our dressing room and run into Mel Daniels holding a .45 -- it makes you wonder."
