Yeah, I know. That's what is goofy about the continuation of that old rule. Are there still "local channels only" versions of cable-tv packages? Having been on DirecTV and owning the NBA LP and NFL ST for like 17 years each, I have no idea if that's even an option any more.
I'm not sure what you're asking exactly but I do remember not all that long ago when the Jailblazers were trying to improve PR they drew up some kind of pseudo contract/guarantee for the fans that I'm almost positive contained a provision about a certain number of games being on broadcast TV. Now maybe I'm misremembering... or maybe the term was 'free tv' and I assumed that to mean broadcast.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

WAIT! I don't have to watch it on ESPN tomorrow? Thank God, and thank you for telling me that. Was dreading watching ESPN commentators.

EDIT: Unless Croshere is on, then ESPN is lesser of two evils. Sorry Cro, not a fan of your commentary.
If games are won and lost on a calculator and piece of paper, then why do we bother to play them?

I don't mind Cro nearly as much as Quinn (I absolutely can't stand Quinn). Sure Cro's voice is monotone, but I like his knowledge of the game and his overall style of commentary.

I think Cro and Denari are too alikei, but mostly yes his monotone voice kills me. Quinn's random thoughts and cut ups really crack me up. Sure I preferred K, but I'd take Quinn over Cro. I really like Chris, though I know many don't.

I don't understand how anyone could not like Denari. I think Denari and Clark Kellogg is one of my favorite combos ever.

This is the first Pacers game I remember in a long time that had both a non-NBATV national broadcast coinciding with a local broadcast.
The Brawl game had ESPN and Fox Sports Midwest both broadcasting it....

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
