I think there is zero chance Granger is traded during this season.
It's almost as if the NBA has to re-assess his value given the circumstances.
I can't imagine either side (the Pacers or the rest of the NBA) wanting to move forward with trading Danny until that's better understood.
I agree with that, though I'd place the odds over 50% that Granger does get traded during the off-season, as long as the Pacers don't win the title or Granger reinjures and is out for a long time again.
I could see this similar type of deal brought up in the off-season. The Clips and Pacers don't want to mess with success atm.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

FYI - trade deadline is 2/21
I am always amazed about this trade danny and so on threads, players are spanked and outcast because they are "not loyal" if flirting with another team or thinking of a possible trade, yet we the fans always think the grass is greener across the road.
I for one would be very upset if DG got traded at any stage before his retirement, he left more on the court for this ballclub than 99.9% of the posters here.
I suggest you go play 2k13 and trade to your heart content, but let the Pacers please remain what they have been so far, an honourable basketball franchise.
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish.
If you've done 6 impossible things today?
Then why not have Breakfast at Milliways!
I totally agree. Walsh isn't going to rush into anything. He never rushed into making changes when the team started off so poorly. He'll stay the course and watch how this team plays thru the playoffs, and then make whatever decisions about Granger, Dwest, and how to strengthen the team. He'll just sit back and watch.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.
He's averaging less 1 att a gm which shows that it's not a part of his arsenal.
I think a shorter PG that isn't a great playmaker, nor a big time scorer, needs to be able to have 16 more made 3's in 40 plus games.
Oh, yeah, and Ford is an idiot.
I do like Chad Ford, but I'll never understand how terrible he is at understanding the Pacers. He's been convinced for years the Pacers are trading Granger. I wouldn't be surprised if in 15 years when Granger is retired Ford comes out with an article contemplating Granger trade possibilities. Not only that, he severely underestimates Granger's value. Granger for Bledsoe is HORRIBLE for the Pacers unless the Clips are able to throw in an expiring contract and draft picks. It makes no sense either sine the Pacers already have a starting point guard that is simply better than Bledsoe.
I'd appreciate Ford's odd thoughts much more if he'd at least add the caveat that any Granger trade at the moment is pure speculation and extremely unlikely to happen.
According to Austin Croshere, Danny Granger is still a month away from coming back. That takes it beyond the trade deadline. He mentioned a month today on JMV's show.
no way other teams appreciate Granger more than PACERS FANS do at this moment, most teams and GM's think he is damaged goods right now due to his tendanitis(sp) in his knees, he will first have to come back strong for the rest of the year to prove his alright, but noway a team will trade for granger before fed21st, we can put any rumors to rest
@ScottAgness: Vogel's still hoping to see @dgranger33 in uniform before All-Star break. DG has increased his activity level & decreased rest in between.
Croshere says a lot of things that're just...bizarre.

Sure- but as has been said, the Pacers aren't looking to trade him at the moment, and it isn't as if Chad is suggesting trades that would help the Pacers, but is more or less suggesting trades that are nothing more than a salary dump of Grangers contract as if he isn't currently an important piece of the Pacers.
Any trade before West is signed is ridiculous because you don't know the true ramifications of Grangers contract.
And his trade suggestions never take into account what the Pacers front office is trying to do. Trading for a point guard? Whether or not you love or hate Hill doesn't change the fact that the Pacers see him as their starting point for the next five years. So they clearly would not make a trade for a point, unless a particularly talented one fell in their lap. (meaning all-star).
I'd appreciate Granger trade ideas if they always recognize they can't possibly happen during this season, and they're serious about the Pacers plan to build a championship team. None of Ford's trades make sense. **** even vnz's trade of JJ and big baby makes more sense than Ford's trade.
ANd by the way, this coming off-season will be the first time probably ever since Granger has entered the league that any trade speculation involving him has made any sense. (Other than the possibility that a team would be willing to donate the Pacers a surplus of talent, but that of course is extremely unlikely).
i wouldn't trade Danny Granger on a 1 on 1 transaction, i would rather build on what we got and get rid of the rest. Since we trying to build a suffocating defense, Y not go for long wingspan players. trade Danny Granger, Dj Augustin, 2nd round pick, and money compensation, for Thaddeus Young, Dorrel Wright and 1st round pick 2013. Since Green didn't work like we had hoped, trade Green, T. Hans for Derrick Favors.
pg: G.hill / Lance / B. Hans
sg: T. Young / S. Young / O. Johnson
sf: PG / D. Wright
pf: West / Favors / Penderg
c: Hibbert / Plumlee
Now for the pick we'll be getting from Philly, try getting PG: Marcus Smart ( what we need!) as for the pacers 1st round pick get Center Austin ( baylor) if not there, get C: Lucas ( brazil ). who would want to penetrate the paint with our shoot blockers!
