Default Jeff Saturday announces his retirement

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...fter-pro-bowl/

In the comments section, someone asserts that Jeff and his family still live in Indy and that he already has a front office job waiting for him with the Colts.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I know for sure he lives in Indy. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he does work for the Colts but I'd prefer he get into the media. I think he'd make a fantastic analyst.

He would be a lot better than some old QB's I know in the local media.

Great career. A Colt forever. There will likely be a Ring of Honor induction sometime next season.

Should've retired last season although I understood why he didn't want that season as his last season....

Anyways here's a pic of him and Manning together this is going to be featured on the pregame show on Sunday before the Pro Bowl on NBC

I'll always remember the Saturday Special at Penn Station. Wish that was still around.

That would explain the comment on the PFT story about a drink waiting for Jeff at Penn Station.

Glad to hear he has a front office position waiting.

Should have retired last season, got greedy and embarrassed himself, but wouldn't mind having him in the front office.

I completely disagree with this on pretty much every level.

Well, his play has been declining, he really did not have much to offer, he went to a contender to try to win a championship as a starting center, lost his job half way through the season because of his iffy play, and did not even make it close to the superbowl.

    That is just my take.

I just don't think he wanted to end his career snapping the ball to that bum Painter.

I mean that's a lame way to go out.

Once it's over, it's over. He wanted one last chance at tasting the glory. You can't blame a guy for that.

Instead of going to Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers maybe he should've 'double-checked' what the Colts were building for this past season.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I realize the Colts probably didn't even want him for the season... but I really wanted to do a lame Aaron Rodgers discount doublecheck pun...
