Drop down to the 5th seed. Nothing to panic about. Team just needs to respond and get one of the next two and then do what they should be expected to do in Feb. If they don't do that, then you can panic.

Danny's scoring would help a lot on the road. We would have at least been in striking distance in the 4th I think.

You have to think that jet lag might be a factor for our sluggishness on defense and inability to react to their fast paced jump shooting offense.

To go from playing a 1pm game to playing what is a 10pm game on the other side of the country for Pacers players with only 1 day in between is pretty rough, even considering they get 1 day of "rest."

This was not a schedule loss. They got into Portland Monday night and it is only a two hour difference from Memphis.

I feel like that's happening more and more often. If he's not getting a lot of pass deflections, Hill has kind of turned into a lazy defensive player this year. He is routinely getting beaten on the defensive end, which is far different than his game last year.

I'm sure that's a factor in a lot of west coast games. Hill and West were on twitter at 8am or so a few days ago.

I'm not sure if I want Hill to push the tempo with the hopes of getting a better percentage shot for our guys or continue to initiate the offense with 16 seconds left and slow down the pace of the game completely.

Lance and Hill have played below their abilities for a couple games now. I also feel like some guys allow bad calls to affect the way they play way too much.

Annoying loss tonight, but then again, what loss isn't?

No reason to panic. These kind of games happen.

To be fair, Hill isn't exactly a point guard.

But it's 3 hours difference from here, and it doesn't change the fact that they have to flip their daily routine 9 hours in a span of 2 days.

I didn't say it was a schedule loss, I was saying it provided a fatigue difficulty that resulted in slow reactions most of the game on defense. There are no such things as schedule losses.

I still think this was pretty easy travel. Indiana to Memphis they flew that on Sunday early afternoon I think based on twitter. Then arrive in Portland Monday night and spent a full 24 hours there before playing.

This team has lost a couple games because they let the refs get in their heads.

Also, I am really glad with what Lance has given us, but there are a couple things to remember, first he's still definitely a bench player, and secondly a big reason for why it has been so nice watching him is that it has meant not watching Gerald Green. Lance is still a really flawed young player learning his way. Much better and more calm than I ever thought he would be, but still a very flawed player. 40 minutes for him tonight? That shows how thin we are on the wing.

This team would be so much better if Hill and Hibbert actually played up to their contracts. We basically have 20 million of worthless players at the moment. You can add in Granger since hes injured so that would be 32 million.

Now we're back to the 5th seed, Bulls are ahead of us and keep on winning these close games, really bugs me a lot.

And if being the 5th seed will rob West or George from an all star spot for Deng or some other player, that would be annoying.

The Blazers are a young and quick team while the Pacers are slow on the front court, teams like the Blazers would always be the Pacers weakness, the bad news is that they are playing two similar teams in the next two games.

Hibbert and Hill....worthless. Fantastic. I love this board after losses. So much good comedy going on.

When you expect this team to win on the road they lose, when you expect them to lose they win. Lets keep it up?

Bad time to lose especially when the competitors in the East have won their games today. Anyway, time to move on from this one and just get ready for the next game.

Lillard and Aldridge were unstoppable today. And those offensive fouls really hurt our chances to get back.

I certainly respect your passion for this team, but I really don't understand how you can consider yourself a realist.

There's a guy on the Knicks realgm board that says he's a realest and that Lin would average 23/11 or something crazy like that this year.
