Default CNN Now Partering with Bleacher Report, Instead of SI

Saw a story about this a while back, and a link on cnn.com just went to b/r.

Good for b/r? or bad for CNN?

If its true, then bad for CNN. This would mean they are no longer affiliated with many of the best writers in the business. Of course, they don't really care about quality anymore. They only care about he number of Twitter followers you can reach. Are you sure though? I just went to the CNN home page and their sports section is titled Sports Illustrated. ???

its true http://www.awfulannouncing.com/2013/...lustrated.html, it starts in February. And its a horrible move my CNN. I think SI will be with NBCSports more and more, and along with Yahoo I guess to since they (nbc and yahoo) struck a deal.

So instead of links to Peter King's MMQB, they're going to have links to The Top 50 overpaid NFL players? Yeah, smart move....

Pretty dumb move by CNN. My wife works for CNN and now I make fun of her, even though she has nothing to do with it. It's just awful and hilarious.

I clicked on a link, on cnn.com, about Phil Mickelson complaining because of his taxes, and it went to a b/r story. The fellow who wrote the article was "trying," but it was clear that there is a reason b/r does not pay its writers.

Turner Broadcasting bought Bleacher Report over the summer, Turner owns CNN. Makes plenty of business sense. Since Turner bought them Bleacher Report legitimately has gone out of their way to hire actual quality writers, especially on the NFL side. The place is still predominately a cesspool though.

Really a bummer for SI though, but they're not really anything special these days either.
