    Great win!

I would not trade Paul George for anyone in the league not named Durant. Yes, I am serious.

D.J. Augustin and Ian Mahinmi look like good pick-ups, I still have hope that Gerald Green can turn it around, but I am probably the only one
Not the only one. I like the skill set Gerald Green brings, but it sure would be nice if he started playing better.

He also beat up O.J Mayo following a card game on the team plane lol
While that was not really his fault, OJ welshed on the bet and started the fight, Tony Allen is a bad guy. Not the kind of guy the Pacers are interested in having on the team.

Watched the first half at lunch and listened to second half. Sounded like the best game of the year. It's a shame that it had to be at 1:00 on a Monday.

Hmm, I had this feeling that he should have been a Pacer, but couldn't remember why.

So, seems a lot of people feel differently now.

While I'm in the mood to ask questions, how many wins do we have now scoring less than 90?
I recall Tony Allen having A LOT of on/off court issues...and one of the reasons why some of us here didn't want him on the Pacers a few years back.

But Memphis is the Betty Ford Clinic for the NBA....all troubled NBA Players go there to grow up and become mature.

Paul is just at that point where his upside as well as his current level of play both offensively and defensively is SO dynamic that the only player I honestly feel like the Pacers would be better off with would be someone like Kevin Durant.

Sure, the Kobe's and LeBrons of the world are better players than Paul. I know this. But first of all, most of those players are punks who I don't want anywhere NEAR a Pacers jersey, and secondly, Paul is 22 years old!!!!

So yes, I will keep him over just about anyone in the league. If you disagree that's fine

I would trade half the Pacers and my left nut for LBJ.
Find me on the internets @mattiecolin

    Read it and weep:

When George Hill is above 15% usage we won 73.5% of games. Below 15% usage we won 61.9%

These MLK day games are annoying and weird. Why not start them at 5 or 6? Anything is better than 1...unless you're in school, you have work.

Regarding the game, it was great to see the Pacers take one on the chin against a playoff team on the road, and fight right back and get the win.

Green seems to have fallen out of the rotation, only 6 minutes today (And was terrible during them.) OJ has taken his minutes, and at the very least not hurt the team, and at times has hit some very nice shots. I don't see how Green gets any run when Danny returns short of an injury.

Call me sentimental or whatever... I just don't want a guy like that on my team. Same reason I don't want Kobe, or Kevin Garnett, or Ray Allen.

    Just flat out dislike them.

    It is a crazy statement.

But "what would it take for you to trade PG?" could be a fun exercise.

I can officially announce my once-jersey chasing Lakers fan of a girlfriend is now completely sold as a Pacers fan. She missed the game, forgot about it, but is making me replay the game since it was on ESPN.

    I think it's true love.

    Nope.

I realize I would be making a bad basketball decision in the process.

However, I could not sleep at night knowing that LeBron James was wearing a Pacers jersey.

    Sorry.

Hold on the that gal, she sounds like a keeper.

My wife the whole game about the ESPN announcers giving too much credit to the Grizz.

It's not uncommon for the NBA to schedule games like this at an earlier time....cuz a lot of people have this day off. I assume that it's treated like a Sunday game.

During the Playoffs and towards the end of the season....I fully expect that Vogel will shorten up the rotation to a 9 man rotation with OJ and/or Green only getting spot minutes when Granger/Lance/PG get into foul trouble.

I wont speak for his off the court issues, but in terms of pure basketball, Tony Allen would mesh well with us lol

    Big win.

Gerald Green doesn't seem as though he is going to work out. Would be nice to replace him with a shooter.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I don't know if it's just a slow day at work due to the holiday, but that game was just on a different level anxiety wise. Getting that first win on a 4 game Western road trip is huge. Especially when it's against the toughest opponent. I know Utah, Port, and Denver are all playing pretty well, but if the Pacers can just get one out of the three, then that's a pretty good road trip.

Redick and Korver aren't shot "Creators" and Crawford is a offense stopper. (Although considering the Pacers bench...maybe it wouldn't be too bad. But soon we'll have Lance as a spark off the bench.)

Truth is, the Pacers don't struggle to score points when they need to. They just struggle to score consistently throughout the game. (And their offensive statistics are skewed a bit because they deliberately slow the offense down.) Regardless, Hill is able to create shots, and PG is getting there.

Also, it's not that big of a shock that Hill, someone who isn't really a point guard, struggled with point guard related skills, against a good defense. He did last season too. Because, you know..not a point guard. He scored well though. Hopefully, he'll learn how to run an offense against good defenses by the playoffs.

    Danny Granger?

B/c outside of Crawford, and Barea, Redick and Korver are shooters, not shot creators whatsoever.
