Could barely watch the final play.
Could barely watch the final play.
1 assist away! SO CLOSE. Paul George deserved that triple double. Such a complete game.
**waits for the usual suspects to make excuses for the opponent**
Best win of the season, easily.
Good win! Great defense! Ahhhh I love it!
Wow that game was too close for comfort!
Hill had an uncharacteristically bad game but I'll throw that in as an anomaly.
Can't WAIT to have Granger back for some more scoring!
Nice job to DJ and OJ for making big shots when we really needed them!
follow me @TruenoPanda - lets talk Pacers!
Great win on the road!!!
I wanted overtime but oh well
Paul George is a beast.
Love the play-making from George...
It's going to be such a shame to watch Kobe get another All NBA Defense award over George or Tony Allen
Gerald Green and a 1st-round pick for Tony Allen, please.
Great hard-fought, defense-focused game. Another playoff quality match-up between these two teams. So similar, yet we've gotten it done twice against them. This has an East-West rivalry potential. And just like our past dealings with Memphis, the deadline had passed before they could seal the deal. Good D, Paul.
Paul just needs to continue being aggressive. At the start of third he became a little content to just watch, which allowed Memphis that big run. Great win. Huge way to start the trip.
Of course everyone HATES fouls on last possessions, but what are the refs supposed to do? I mean they fouled the crap out of Hill.
One of the most physical, ugly games of the year, and it ends on a non-shooting foul call. Sounds about right for the refs this year— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) January 21, 2013
A Road Win...against a very solid AND healthy Defensive Team.
Also....Tony Allen kept the Grizzlies in this game with his hustle, energy and scrapiness. He's like a smaller and far more effective version of Hansbrough.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
You know how smooth and a complete player Paul George is , when he think he had a very mediocre game, then look at the stats 12 points, 10 boards and 9 assist. On top of that solid D on Rudy Gay.
Tyler's D was outstanding on the inbounds passer
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel
We had our chances to wilt, but we kept hanging around.
Big credit to DJ tonight, he hit some BIG shots that were real momentum changers/sustainers. Same with D West, but what else is new?
I would not trade Paul George for anyone in the league not named Durant. Yes, I am serious.
Big time shot for PG under 2min left. And DJ seems to have his shot back which is nice. I would like to see PG get to the rim (and actually finish), but I realize it's easier said than done against Memphis. Still he failed hard on a couple of tip ins and lay ups which I'm positive he can finish with ease.
"There is a time to play and a time to win. It is what you do during winning time that differentiates the average players from stars."
If Paul George was Lebron James..he would have been given another assist.
...almost has a triple double, makes the biggest shot of the game, holds his opponent to 7-22 gets the win..and watching it didn't seem like he was even playing that well.
I was nervous, but that was a great way to enjoy a day off.
I'd love Tony Allen if I didn't hate him so much at the moment.
Felt like a heavyweight fight where no one could land a knockout punch. Nice that we got the decision.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
great win on the road
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.
4 of our 5 starters had subpar games offensively. That said we still went into a sold out arena and beat a top 4 western conference team. That says a lot about our team and Frank's defensive scheme. I am really starting to buy into that we are a true contender.
