Patriots would have won that game if only they had videotaped the Ravens beforehand!

They must've not watched the playoff game vs the Broncos the week before?

It was for the best the Broncos lost because the Pats would be in the SB.

After a loss, Belichick shakes hands with the opposing coach, looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. Then he goes to the press conference, gives short answers, compliments the opponent, and says that his team didn't make enough plays to win.

analysis: he is a sore loser

After a win, Belichick shakes hands with the opposing coach, looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. Then he goes to the press conference, gives short answers, compliments the opponent, and says that his team made just enough plays to win.

analysis: he is a robotic boring jerk, with an insane focus on whatever is coming up next

A possibly more correct analysis that explains both situations and reflects what most people who have coached with him, against him, or played for him have to say: he's a pretty tough-minded no-nonsense driven-to-succeed person with a severe disdain for the media at large who has no problems interacting with those in his profession who have earned his respect.

This is sort of familiar because 20-30 years ago the same bitter psychanalysis from the media and simplified snapshot opinions (except for the part about bring boring) were applied to Bob Knight, a pretty tough-minded no-nonsense driven-to-succeed person with a severe disdain for the media at large who has no problems interacting with those in his profession who have earned his respect.

Personally I don't care if Belichick shakes hands or doesn't. I mean yeah he's a prick but he's upfront about it so its fine with me.

I'm more annoyed by Pats fans more than anything.. and my disdain for Boston sports in general.

It's kind of interesting that the Colts have held the Ravens to the fewest points in a game so far this postseason at 24. They put up 28 on the Pats, and 38 on Denver.

Regarding Sharpe in the post match show. I saw that and thought it wasn't much of a rant tbh since he was right. I would gladly change my mind though if you answered this. The network (NBC ?) has paid a hefty amount of money to the NFL for the rights, right? Is part of the deal that BB and every BB for that matter, to talk to the network that broadcasts the game after the end of it?

The coaches are not required to talk to the sideline reporters at halftime or after a game. To my knowledge, Belichick has never done that, after a win or after a loss.

They are required to attend the post game press conference, which he did.

I could really care less though.

So he did it after the most devastating loss of his career... I forgot about that.

It kinda squashes the "he's a sore loser and he won't talk only because they lost" angle, then, doesn't it?

    Brady's slide under NFL review

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is being reviewed by NFL officials for possible discipline for the play in the AFC Championship Game in which he slid and made a kicking motion at Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed.

League spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday that "any play of that nature is routinely reviewed."

During the final minute of the first half, Brady slid to the ground to end an impromptu run. The quarterback had one leg raised a few feet off the ground and it hit Reed, who emerged from the play without injury.

He should get fined for it whether he meant it or not its still a dangerous move even if he wasn't wearing spikes.

Ed Reed said that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has reached out to him to apologize for making contact with him on a slide late in the first half of the AFC Championship Game.

"I told him -- you know, we talked," Reed told WJZ-FM in Baltimore. "We talked actually not too long ago, we talked on the phone. He actually reached out to me, texted me. I tried to text him back, but the message exploded after 12 seconds, so I had to call him ... and he's just apologized and what not. But I told him, 'You know, it's good, man...Brady's a great competitor and I love going against him and I know where his heart is at for this game. It was all good."

The nine-time Pro Bowl safety added that he has respect for Brady.

"I know he's a great player," he said. "I respect Brady and his game for all it stands for, and I know he's not a dirty player. And emotions get going in the game."
