@ScottAgness: Frank Vogel is adamant that @Paul_George24 is an All-Star. He said just look at tonight's game, which should have solidified it.

Proof that flashiness gets more attention than fundamentals, regardless of the effectiveness of the fundamental player. That's not a knock on George, just an observation of the way fans think when they vote on something like this.
I agree, and honestly that's probably the way it should be in a sense. In an All-Star game, fans want to see flashy dunks and guys doing amazing things. Then again, I also think it's dumb that guys like West and other less flashy players get overlooked.

@ScottAgness: @Indyvnzla81 West, too. "I think Paul and David are deserving and I think they'll both be on the All-Star team."

I'm happy if both West and PG get in but it also makes think it's a shame Granger didn't get in last year. He had a bad year and still put up better scoring numbers then both while leading the team in scoring and to the second best record in the east. I'd like to see Danny make the all star team one more time.

Honestly if the coaches decide that Pierce gets left off because Boston is pretty much a .500 team I could definitely see West having an outside chance at it.

THIS year I'm gonna have to go with Duncan I think. What he's been doing this year has just been incredible. All are playing great, and I think it's a tossup between Hibbs/Chandler for second, but I think Duncan gets my vote this year.
I agree about Duncan but Noah should be a bit higher, imo.

Watching NBATV Gametime and they ( I forgot who ) both think that PG and West should be AS Reserves.

@MarkMontieth: I'd be shocked if George doesn't make All-Star team. Not so sure about West, but he doesn't want to go anyway.

PG needs to go for PR and National exposure and I'd love for West to go and represent....but thinking about it......it's probably a good idea for West to simply get some rest.

West would give his place to another Pacer if he could.

If George makes it, I hope he can keep his both feet on the ground. We had some bad experiences with that in recent past.
Then again, it matters much more how you finish your contract. (thank you, David )

You guys are totally overlooking KG's impact on defense. Maybe not a starter, but I don't think there should be any complaints about him being an All-Star.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ba...4184--nba.html

The Celtics defense is statistically the best in the league when KG is on the floor. When he isn't, they sink to the lowest. Obviously there are other factors into this not just KG, but you can't deny the man is an absolute monster on defense.

Idk that Chicago gets 2 AS if they're behind the pacers in the easy by the time the time the reserves are chosen. It just doesn't make sense, ya know?

I could see Kyrie making it as opposed to Boozer. Also J-smoove deserves consideration. And the rest of your reserves are solid picks

In the West idk that Ibaka makes it. 14/8 aren't AS numbers. I could see Stephen curry making it.
The thing with Chicago is that everyone is looking at them with rose-colored glasses (pun intended) because they are playing without DRose. Everyone is assuming they are mad overachieving when really they are, plain and simple, a very good team without Rose and a great team with him. Deng is a shoe-in for allstar and I wouldnt be shocked if Noah made it as well.

PG should be a shoe-in as well, and I think West has a puncher's chance.

Of course, he paid no heed to the fan vote and thus opened up a spot on both the East and the West by omitting Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard.
