I'd buy a jersey with that crest on it.
"I had to take her down like Chris Brown."
The crest is great.
Is there already a soccer team called the Victory?
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
Apparently IMS had an issue with them being Racing Indianapolis FC otherwise it would have been the unanimous name, much in the same way that the rumor has always been that the story that Pace Horses as the background to the Pacers name was just a cover to not draw IMS's attention. Dumb.
I actually just found out about all of this today, and watched the live stream of the first coach announcement. I'm actually very excited to have another sport here. Will probably be my 2nd favorite team to watch live in the city. Pacers being number 1.
I saw on the Brickyard Battalion's Facebook pace that over 4,000 season tickets have sold. That season ticket base alone would put Indy's attendance average as the 3rd highest in the NASL. That's pretty impressive. I would absolutely love to have season tickets if I lived closer to Indy, but just can't do it being 2 hours away.
Come on people, with a name like "Eleven" this clip can be played on the screen before the team runs on the field.
They just announced that they want to expand MLS by 4 teams by the end of the decade. Not sure if it's going to be possible, but here's to hoping we can grab one of those spots. Hopefully we can show that we are a good market for them to expand to (which we are) and there would be a great benefit to coming to a great sports city
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.
I have a feeling FL is going to get 2 of those spots. I know Beckham is trying to start a team in Miami and in all likelihood there's no way that doesn't become an MLS team. Orlando is strongly pushing for one too.
There's no doubt in my mind Indy would get one of those spots if we really wanted it and had an owner with the goods to back it.
MLS has been a central ownership system for years, but is slowly transitioning to more distinct individual owners, but as they do this they want owners who can definitely foot the bill.
Went to the Inter Milan Vs Chelsea game today and it was nice, 42k people.
Yeah that's great that we got over 40K for the game. Shows we at least have a fan base here
Wow nearly 50k in Indy for Inter-Milan and Chelsea? That's really impressive. I know those are great teams but that game was only an exhibition right?
