Hard to keep your arms up when you get kicked in the gut.
Wait, did their score board suddenly had a 2 point jump?
Vucevic was a good pickup by the Magic as part of the Dwight deal.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
My bad, I spoke too soon I guess (even though I did say almost)
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
35 points in the half...smh....
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel
Worst first half of the season
We still can't win on the road.
We play for teams to shoot Jumpshots and that's exactly what they are good at. Granted, they also threw in their fair shair of ******** shots. Pretty questionable officiating as well.
We're going to come out with fire in the 2nd half. I still say we win this game.
14% beyond the arc as compared to 50% by Orlando pretty much tells the story of the half.
Well this is a waste
It seems like this happens a fair amount. We come out unmotivated and then try to claw back in the second half. Well see what happens.
Vucevic 10 rebounds so far. That guy is a beast.
We need our shots to start falling otherwise there is no chance we are winning this. Hill has been diabolical so far. All in all a disgraceful performance and only George and Roy can say they have played some.
I don't get why people are surprised here.
Guys, we know the weaknesses of our defense. Don't we?
Here are our two most important weaknesses:
1) Bigs that can shoot from 15 ft and beyond.
2) Great ball movement that leads to open 3s.
That's exactly how the Spurs beat us. Vaughn is an ex-Spurs coach and as such he runs a lot of the same plays that the Spurs do. You can see that their ball movement is crisp and that they're well-coached.
Also, their bigs (Davis, Vucevic, McRoberts) can shoot the ball. They don't pound the ball inside. They force our bigs to come out of the paint and our whole D to rotate. And that gets them open 3s.
It's quite simple, actually. Their offense can take advantage of our defense. Luckily, not a lot of teams utilize the Spurs playbook.
