    Default IN/DAL

Indy trades: Danny Granger, DJ Augustine

Dallas trades: OJ Mayo, Matrix (for $ reasons), and Rodrigue Beibois (spelling?)

Well, the Matrix does have ties to Vincennes University in Indiana. I have always liked his game and he's still got something left in the tank. Horrible contract though.

    Beaubois is not good.

Mayo, Lance and Orlando. Goddam, I'm sure practice would be fun to watch with them. hahaha

1yr/$9.3M left after this year. I don't think there's such thing as a bad 2-year contract. And Marion's defense is still top-shelf.

Even as a fellow Vincennes alum, I cant justify bringing him in on that contract. At all.

    Counter Offer:

DAL offers: Mayo, Marion, Beaubois, and the rights to Derek Fisher

for Granger, Augustin, Orlando Johnson and Hansbrough

    Do you still do it?

I just don't like this deal. OJ has a player option for that 2nd year. He'll freaking bolt where he can get paid. Then you are left with an expiring Marion, RFA Beaubois who hasn't shown much in the ability to actually play point. That doesn't seem like a good deal for Granger.

Unless you are taking the money saved from Granger and West and going after a marquee FA like Josh Smith. Then hopefully sign Jarrett Jack as the backup point. Sign Earl Clark as a cheap backup.

Granger for Mayo (plus extension) straight up. Could throw in Marion and DJ to match salaries. No need to over complicate.

Mavs aren't going to trade Mayo and Marion for Granger and Augustin. OJ is the only legit two guard on their roster and they aren't going to get rid of him or Marion unless it's for a superstar in return. Granger has a lot to prove coming back from his injury before teams hoping to contend are going to gut their rosters to trade for him.

Also, OJ can't be extended with his current contract.
