We had a lot going against us this game. But the officiating was pathetic.

I have no problem with the refs calling it tight. But call it tight on both ends.

The Pacers needs to regroup, but they also have to realize that they've got to win with the crappy reffing. Because they'll see a lot of it if they play Miami in the playoffs.
    Very true.

That's OK. I just wanted someone in who can score. Roy can't. When a 7'2" guy has to shoot a reverse layup it's pretty sad. Plus, when his man is smoking us from the perimeter he really doesn't need to be out there.
I agree that Ian was probably a better cover for Brook. But let's not forget that Ian was the one who gave him those first 2 jumpers that got him going.

I think he didn't put Orlando on him anymore, because he wasn't hitting anything on offense and Hill is the veteran.
Pretty much the reason I would guess. It's a adjustment that I thought Vogel had made in the first half that I thought might continue to the fourth quarter, especially when OJ's effort got us the lead to end the half...

I think so too. Orlando looked good on D and he made some good passes early. But in the second half those passing lanes were not there and Orlando couldn't buy a shot. We needed offense. And rebounds.

Now this I agree with. Some call it close, others don't. And often times it fluctuates from game to game. THAT'S the hard part. I'm just saying it's a bit of a cop out to say "we lost our lead bc of the refs". But I see I'm in the minority lol
It wasn't even consistent within this game. After Brooklyn took a double-digit lead the refs started swallowing the whistle.

The bad calls swung the momentum and it just snowballed from there. Being unable to hit a shot was just the nail in the coffin.
The momentum wouldn't be swung if we played the game in Indiana. The crowd means so much in those situations. That's what got Brooklyn going in the 4th and they started making shot after shot after shot.

I think we had a good effort tonight but we really need to start hitting shots.

Absolutely. But a lot of those made shots came courtesy of bad calls on the opposing team.

Unfortunately, Hill went 0-4 in the fourth with a technical foul, a turnover, and the type of pick and roll defense that leads to 17-0 runs.

Yep. It didn't work out. It doesn't always. We'd expect better play down the stretch from Hill on most nights. He's been good at the end of games overall.

I feel like tiredness may have been a factor in that 4th quarter, being that we were on the tail end of a back-to-back.

Then who? Tyler got completely slaughtered on the boards by Humphries.
