I'd be astounded if the Nets have had a better quarter this year.

Do you even read what you are saying. You don't have to force jack ****. A foul is a foul is a foul. Bias has no place in refs.

Yup, there goes Deron walking with the ref telling him "good job out there."

Uhh, yes he was. He got stuck under our basket when Lopez sprinted down the floor for a layup.
I edited my post before your answer. I was wrong. He was indeed there but he was locked in Reggie Evans under their basket. Nothing to do here. PG should have covered.

Horrible game. We got smoked in the 4th quarter.

Hibbert really needs to play better. His play is just disturbing now
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

It's the inconsistency that's the problem.
Now this I agree with. Some call it close, others don't. And often times it fluctuates from game to game. THAT'S the hard part. I'm just saying it's a bit of a cop out to say "we lost our lead bc of the refs". But I see I'm in the minority lol

It was not the reffs fault that Paul George committed some stupid fouls today specially the one to JJ, the reffs are calling more fouls on the Pacers because Brooklyn is more aggressive.

Awful loss in the 4th. Foul trouble and out of gas by the end of this one. Should have held on, but it's a schedule loss, IMO.

GHill playing awful. PGeorge recovering from flu. No Lance. Hard to beat a good team on the road.

    We'll bounce back.

Bad shooting for PG. But 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals is not too shabby. I give his shooting (and to some extent his 5 fouls) a pass due to his sickness.

What I like the least about this game is that it's the second one in a row where our rebounding as a team has not been there, and that hurts our D. We need to get that back on track.

Can't be too upset with the team. Lance would have made a huge difference because that would have meant Green would not have been out there at the end. The refs stole the game at the end. Back to back game. PG being sick. All in all, they had a good effort. I cannot wait till Danny comes back and Green doesn't get any minutes.

I know I posted this about ten times in this thread, but I really don't get leaving Hill on Deron. Missing Lance was big but Vogel's adjustment left me wanting.

Sorry guys, can someone tell me, why Derron Williams always has this really really ugly haircut? This question is no joke, I really wonder why he doesn't change it?

It's games like this that bring out the conspiracy theorists. There's simply no other logical explanation for this officiating.
NBA wanted to get the Nets back in the mix of things...
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

We lost the lead due to 2 reasons:

    1) We were unable to make a shot.

    2) We were unable to play D due to foul trouble.

Their crowd helped them to cement their lead and ensured that we would never come back.

I'm not going to blame the refs even if I disagreed with some calls (fyi, the Nets broadcast disagreed with those calls as well). But we would be blind if we were to say that foul trouble didn't contributed into losing that lead.

That's OK. I just wanted someone in who can score. Roy can't. When a 7'2" guy has to shoot a reverse layup it's pretty sad. Plus, when his man is smoking us from the perimeter he really doesn't need to be out there.

I think he didn't put Orlando on him anymore, because he wasn't hitting anything on offense and Hill is the veteran.

We had a lot going against us this game. But the officiating was pathetic.

I have no problem with the refs calling it tight. But call it tight on both ends.

The Pacers needs to regroup, but they also have to realize that they've got to win with the crappy reffing. Because they'll see a lot of it if they play Miami in the playoffs.

The bad calls swung the momentum and it just snowballed from there. Being unable to hit a shot was just the nail in the coffin.

What a joke... So the Pacers couldnt help but foul and the Nets played a nearly perfect game? Thats pretty funny considering the Nets have 2 players in Evans and Humphries that try to body slam someone every time down the floor.
