Now on to the obvious question. How much did the drunken domination of the Kings fans by the Frezno 4, Gnome and myself cause the Maloofs to give up hope and sell the team? I say 45%. It was pretty humiliating.
Sweet! Another city close enough to watch the Pacers!
Seattle was always a pretty good market and I have to bleieve that corporate money is a lot more plentiful in Seattle than in Sacramento
One thing is that at least Seattle-SAC are in the same region. The team remains one of the two Pacific NW teams, so it's not that hard for Kings fans to maintain some allegiance to the team. Certainly some might gravitate to GSW since they are much closer, but it would probably be emotionally easier to stick with the franchise you followed vs a division rival. Of course SAC did have prior history as a rival of Seattle, so who knows.
I'm sorry but...
Poor Sacramento fans... Now they only have 3 teams in their state to choose to root for...
And yes I realize their are jobs lost and all that... But from a pure fan perspective again I say... Poor Sacramento fans...
Nothing in life worth having comes easy.
Yeah, I do feel badly for the Sacramento fans, and I should have said as much when I posted earlier. There's nothing I can say to make them feel better, but I acknowledge how much this has to suck for their die hard fans.

I hate that teams move. I get that it's a business, but you realize that it could happen to any one of your favorite teams and it makes me uneasy. I'm probably way too into sports, but if I lost one of my teams (the Rams have been talked about for years), it would be devastating. So I feel for those Sacramento fans. They may not be large in number, but there's someone out there who spends their entire year completely immersed in the Kings and that is going to go away.
With all that said, Seattle should have never lost their team in the first place. I'm glad that if the Kings have to move, it's going to a place that was unceremoniously abandoned 5 years ago. It may not be for the players, but I have a feeling Seattle-OKC might be one of the more heated rivalries when it comes to the fans. I wonder what kind of reception Durant will get the first time he returns to Seattle?
They better be the Sonics again.
And they better have sweet unis again.
BLUE COLLAR GOLD SWAGGER
The worst part is that the Maloofs really ****ed us over. We had a deal. And then they just backed out.
As for where we consider where we live UB, its just NorCal. Definitely isn't the Pacific NW. Its SoCal, NorCal, then Pacific NW.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Oh and best case scenario would be for New Orleans to move to Sacramento, Hornets go back to Charlotte, then just about everything would be all good. It would still be ok though, as the Kings have very little history besides the couple battles with the Lakers that they had.

I wonder how many of the Seattle fans who whined about having their team stolen from them, and vilified the people of O.K.C. over it, will have no trouble rooting for the team their city's taking from Sacramento?
The Kings franchise has moved a lot. Wish I could see the Vegas Kings but glad the sonics are back.
