"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Plus, he must have had four of those misses (and a couple of those O-boards) on that one possession. You know the one I'm talking about. It wasn't like we were feeding him all night.
In fact, Hibbert never passed the ball after the offensive boards. He only tapped out one board. Every other offensive rebound that Hibbert got, resulted in a FGA. 8 of his 12 shots were off of misses.

Even if he was to miss every shot (he made 1 of those), I'd be ok with it as those are shots that we wouldn't take anyway.

Missed the game cause I'm out of town, but love the result! Wade (and Garnett and Noah) is my least favorite player. The guy flops, cheats, hit nuts, pushes in the back and never get's punished by the league. Great to see PG and Lance continuing to play well against good teams.

Things have changed quite a bit since Granger's been gone. Paul George has become a legit offensive player and Lance Stephenson is getting better and better. Granger no longer needs to have that primary scoring wing mentality and hopefully he embraces that when he returns.
As well as we played, we still only scored 87 points. We won't keep good teams under 90 EVERY game, especially on the road. Danny should and probably will come in with an aggressive scoters mentality, and honest he's earned that right. You stick him out there for a few of those looks that green had early and Lance had late (theoretically) and our offense is much improved.

    Thoughts:

    * I was down on Roy like many on here have been. 2 lack of hustle effort plays early. I then realized if Roy went down how much our D would be impacted. say what we will with roy's O struggles, his impact on D is poor man D12 in his prime or Dikembesque.
*Lance Stephenson. Bird got it right. Again.
    * Frank Vogel may become a great coach in this league with a strong coaching staff behind him.
    * so many good things right now its almost too good to be true for a regular season win.

    Great win.

This is a silly extrapolation. Why would Granger be upset when our team succeeds?
He wouldn't. He's an adult. I'm being ridiculous.

The point is that Granger's never resented his teammates for scoring well. He's always welcomed it, and he's clearly cheering for Paul George and the entire team right now. This idea that he's going to come back and complain about whose team it is? Ridiculous.

On Lance's drive to the basket late in the game, I really think Wade was trying to hit him in the head. It didn't work, but it sure could have been bad if he'd connected.

Another interesting stat of the game.

We attempted 91 shots. The Heat attempted 68. We only shot 36.3%. But when you attempt so many shots and hold the other team to similarly bad shooting (41.2%), you're going to be in a lot of games even if you're shooting below 40%.

That was solely due to our offensive rebounding. That's the difference that grabbing offensive boards and not turning the ball over make.

There's no question about Granger's competitiveness. I only wonder how the team will adjust when he returns; people seemed to have taken that the wrong way.

Don't forget, Danny and PG worked out together before PG even became a Pacer. These guys are probably pretty good friends. Danny knows what a PG reaching his potential means for the Pacers and for him. And that's a legit championship contender. Danny won't screw that up

With the Hawks' loss, we're now on tight race for the #3 spot. And both Miami and New York are not so far behind.

Who would've thought that after a miserable start?

When Lance stripped Wade and had a breakaway, I immediately said "Wade gets a flagrant here." He didn't get a flagrant, but he brought his arms down hard on Lance. Wade had a little hissy-fit because he got stripped and you knew he was going to foul Lance there.

I also found it interesting that Wade got benched immediately and sat for a good while. I think Coach Spolestra has learned that you can't leave Wade on the court when he is having a fit. There have been multiple instances where Wade has taken the Heat out of a game because he just starts taking terrible shots and not putting in any effort after something goes against him.

Big endorsement by Vogel for PG. "If Bruce Bowen averaged 17 points per game, don't you'd like he would have been an all star too?". "Best two way wing player in the NBA"
Great quote by Frank V. continues to want his players to focus on D. Frank V coulda said great offensive game. Frank V emphasized D first.

Frank V may become a great coach right here in Indiana. its Hoosieresque. long ways to go but great win by the Blue & Gold.

Bird has built a rock solid TEAM. I hope to see Legend in the stands if we play these ^@W#$@% Heat floppers in the playoffs!

PG played better than I ever thought he was capable of. Big game.

Took every bit of that big game to carry us with Hibbert putting up 6 points on 12 shots. I dunno, I'm excited we won, I'm thrilled PG is capable of more than I ever dreamed for him... and I'm just sad at this point watching Hibbert play on the offensive end of the floor.
i only quote this comment because vnzla81 thanked you. its gottta be hard for him to have anything to say when there is so much positive energy around. then i remember i got him on ignore.

"They grinded us to a near halt offensively," coach Erik Spoelstra said after his team scored 35 second-half points, with the 77 a season low.

"They did a good job of bottling up the first and second looks of our sets," he said. "We were not very fluid offensively, didn't really help each other."
