    Default Pacers/Bucks Postgame Thread 1/5/13

Great team game leads to another W for the blue & gold.

Tough games coming up against Eastern Conference rivals, but we're at home for the next few games.

Plenty of things to get excited about!

Me clapping my hands together once do not make a rhythm. That being said I know that as he and Paul go, so do we. So lets go

    A few thoughts:

[1] Finally. I cannot express how relieving it is to beat the Bucks. Can anyone else relate? I am sure.
[2] Roy Hibbert had a good game. I want to see early '13 Roy play like the early '12 Roy. Most of all, I want to see his hook shot fall with consistency. If it is true that his wrist is hurt then I understand why he has abandoned it. However, if and when he regains flexibility in his wrist, I hope he will return to his hook shot. Well done, Roy. Well done. I hope that you can become a consistent 14 and 10.
[3] Paul George is a great player.
    [4] Suck it Scott Skiles.
[5] Orlando Johnson may relieve us from the atrocity that is Sam Young. Save me Orlando Johnson, you're my only hope.

It's great to know that we can shoot 43 percent from the field, 3-20 from 3, and 60 percent from the line and essentially blow out a playoff team. So nice having Hill back, Aug was good in the meantime compared to earlier in the season, but he's so important we couldn't stand to have him out long.

Statement games vs. New York and Miami coming up, I don't hate our chances at home.

Tyler was a tornado tonight. He might have gotten blocked twice but he did not give up.

Paul George is rubbing off on Lance. Lance is very active and does not let his opponent to get the position on the court that they want. Once he does this consistency and can be a set shooter, then I can see Lance being a starter on a contending team.

Ian rotating is great. This, if nothing else, is the difference between he and a Solomon Jones on defense. No doubt Roy has helped him in this.

Folks we have a team that is polar opposite than 2009. They are long, athletic, defenders, disruptors, and they break the other teams offensive mojo.

Great point. Another thing... I was surprised at how vocal Lance was on the court. Somebody who sits courtside would have to confirm, but it seems from watching the Pacers feed that Lance is far more verbal on both offense and defense than he was at the beginning of the year. Paul George has been good at this for a while; I wonder if he's rubbing off there as well.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

That was a great way to forget what happened last night.

We shot 15% from 3 (3/20) and still won. Of course, the Bucks shot pretty bad as well. 27.8% from 3 (5/18) is horrible for their standards. But they aren't always going to hit 3s. Especially, away from home

Let's see why we won tonight.

    Points in the Paint:

    Indiana: 64

    Milwaukee: 26

    Total Rebounds:

    Indiana: 59

    Milwaukee: 39

    Offensive Rebounds:

    Indiana: 22

    Milwaukee: 13

    I'm glad

Sam Young is serviceable. However, if you have a veteran who has reached his potential and he is "serviceable" while you have a rookie who has not reached his potential and is serviceable; which of the two would you be excited about?

I will hold judgement on OJ. He could be this good consistently, or whatever. But Sam Young is a better defender and if Tyler, Green, and DJ get better offensively we don't need his services as much. I just don't see having Sam on the court as an "atrocity".

    Roy Hibbert 11 offensive rebounds
    Milwaukee Bucks 13 offensive rebounds

Boston did us a favor and beat Atlanta, which means that we're only 1 game out of the 3rd slot in the conference.

Atlanta was leading 53 - 38 at the half. The Celtics won due to outscoring the Hawks 9 - 33 in the 3rd quarter.

Want to know what is worse than losing a 15 point lead in a quarter? Doing this at home.

Nice win and well needed after yesterday's atrocity. Roy was brilliant and we got 20 rebounds more than MIL! Next couple of matches are at home against Miami and NY and I am looking forward to them.

Milwaukee is a mess. They have some good pieces, but with the injuries, they are too inconsistent from quarter to quarter. Except Drew Gooden, who looks continually like he has given up on life.

Hibbert was great inside and Hill came back in strong form, but I really thought Lance brought it all together with his playmaking and energy in the second. By the third, we had them outpaced.

I am worried about Pendergraph. In the first quarter he played small forward, and in the fourth quarter, he played center. We are bouncing him around positionally like a Gerald Green three point attempt. Fortunately, our plague of groin discomfort seems to be subsided, for now.

Quick question, is West unable to get on the ground for a ball or is he afraid because of injury? I have never seen him get on the floor to get a loose ball, he always slaps at it standing.

He's unable because the ground is too afraid.

Pendergraph at SF. Vogel is the anti-O'Brien.

ACL tears are tricky. They do not get aggravated by falling to the ground. But they can easily get aggravated when you change momentum abruptly. To fall to the ground you need to change your momentum abruptly. So, he could be scared to so.

Such a difference in tonights game and last nights game!

Hibbert was SPECTACULAR! Great game Roy!

I wouldn't have believed the Pacers wopuld have won this game with only 18 pts from from PG and DWest.

OJ played well, but he's somewhat of a gunner. Speaking of gunners Green needs to understand when he's not hitting 3's he needs to quit shooting them. He needs to try some type of scoring besides 3's and dunks, otherwise I'd just as rather give OJ the PT.

59 rebs with 22 of them OR was just great.

Hill returning was a big plus and him and DJ in the game together was strange. DJ played well too.

I'm so glad the Pacers beat Milwaukee, especially in this fashion. Loved it.
