Default Giants have signed Curtis Painter

    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/gia...rvefuture-deal

The Giants have signed quarterback Curtis Painter, one of 13 players inked to reserve/future contracts.

Painter is Peyton Manning's former backup in Indianapolis, where he started eight games in 2011 when Manning was out. Painter might have an opportunity to back up Eli Manning, with David Carr set to become one of the Giants' unrestricted free agents.

    Tanking next year already?
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Maybe Eli needs neck surgery. They should also see if they can pry Caldwell away from Baltimore after their season is over...

No idea. Worst NFL quarterback I've ever seen.

If he hadn't gone to school an hour down the road from Indianapolis I doubt he would have even been drafted.

Gabbert has actually won an NFL game as a starting QB unlike Painter.

Sounds like Eli gets to follow in the footsteps of big brother having a backup QB he'll never feel any pressure from. Or Polian secretly has been made the Giants GM.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

David Carr and Pillsbury Throwboy weren't threats either.

    Ryan Lindley

    That is all.

But honestly, for all the good young QBs this year, the amount of quality NFL starters at QB right now league wide is low.

Yeah at this point I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't requested Archie Manning to open up a sperm bank

Heck the Vikings could've brought back Archie Manning for this game and it would've been a better result
