Default Bucks and Skiles to part ways immediately

    Sam Amick ‏@sam_amick

The Milwaukee Bucks and coach Scott Skiles have agreed to part ways immediately, USA Today Sports has learned. Story to come.

Somehow I'm not surprised by how the Bucks have apparently been imploding recently.

You watch how the Bucks play defense this year, and you think to yourself... this is absolutely not a Skiles-type-of-team. Clearly the team was going in a different direction. He looked despondent and disengaged on the bench.

    Absolutely not a surprise.

I dunno how much has been due to injuries because I don't follow them closely enough, but his lineups have been pretty strange this season. Guys seemingly going in and out of favor for no reason at all.

Yeah he is a weird coach, weird rotations, Gooden would play in emergencies only for some reason, his offense sucks.

The front office is also a mess I don't know wtf they are trying to do there.

I'd hate that team too if I was Skiles. I don't think there is a single 2-way player on the entire roster.

Without looking, I'd guess a trade between Division rivals is highly unlikely.

When was the last significant trade between Division rivals? Winner gets a Porsche.

Last pistons one I can think of is the #15 pick in the 2004 draft (josh smith) to Atlanta for Rasheed Wallace.

Before that, Paul Mokeski to Cleveland for bill Laimbeer...

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of baby mamas suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

Any thoughts where he will end up? He's been consistently moderately successful, I think, so I doubt he is done.

I think he will settle for an assistant gig somewhere honestly. Control freaks often make poor leaders, but he is too good of a defensive coach to not be in the NBA. Plus hes got too many kids mouths to feed to not catch on somewhere.
